The chalk is not powdery and works well on most colors, obviously lighter colors harder to see. It doesn't rub away much on the cotton I tried which is nice but does remove with water.Like many others mine broke in transit being shipped with a memory phone mattress. But the pieces are big enough they are usable and will likely fit nicely in a small sewing kit. I can't necessarily blame the product but perhaps clover needs a stronger box they put it in.

I ordered the white triangular tailor's chalk with trepidation after seeing all the reviews saying their chalk was broken. I know the chalk can still be used broken, but it still bothers me. However, my chalk came in perfect condition and works like a charm. I wish I hd ordered more than one, an error easily remedied with another order. I have not tried the colored chalks as I previously had an experience with a different yellow chalk marker that would not come out of the fabric I marked.

Was nervous to open it at first because I read reviews after I placed to order (for some odd reason) and saw that many customers received the chalk in broken bits. I was lucky enough to receive mine in one piece and I think it’s better than I had expected. The chalk fits nicely in my hand and shows well on fabric.

I'm a new sewer, and this was to be my first chalk. It arrived in a paper mailer, broken in pieces and unusable. I'm so disappointed.

This chalk is very nice. Marks well, especially with the new edge which is nice and thin. I suppose I'll have to keep the thin edge. The main thing is it brushes off easily as well as giving a distinct mark. I've already used the white chalk with great success. The white arrived in one piece, but the blue chalk arrived broken in two. I think I will return the blue and hope to receive another in one piece. The pieces would be manageable now, while they are large pieces, but soon I'll be down to two pieces that are too hard to keep the edges and will become two small pieces - each too small to handle. But the product is good! An little extra layer of bubble wrap around the chalk package would greatly increase chance safe arrival. It's in a thin papery box inside a large bubble shipping envelope which gets tossed on the porch by the door and it just can't withstand being tossed like that.

I have been kicking myself every since I purchased this chalk because I should have done it years ago. I am very short and need to hem everything. I usually use a dark marker to measure my lines but then have trouble seeing them. I just hemmed 4 pairs of pants that I have been putting off for months because its so hard to see the lines. I think I had these pants done in half the time. I would tell anyone that it is well worth it to purchase this product.

Mir wurde die Kreide von einer Freundin empfohlen, die aber bis jetzt immer Pech hatte, sodass die Kreide auf dem Weg zerbrochen ist. Ich habe direkt drei Stück bestellt und bei mir ist alle heile angekommen. Ich bin unglaublich zufrieden mit der Qualität und durch die eher beige Farbe kann man damit auch problemlos auf weißem Stoff abzeichnen. Meiner Meinung nach ist die auf jeden Fall ihr Geld wert, es ist nur empfehlenswert die Kreide entweder nicht großartig zu transportieren, oder während des Transports zB in der Tasche in ein Stück Stoff zu wickeln und in eine kleine Dose zu tun weil die Kanten leicht abbrechen
