I purchased this bit to use on my slab flattening mill in the picture. It performed marvelously and exceded my expectations! I can honestly recommend this bit to anyone looking for a surfacing bit for their router.

I received this 1-1/2 " router (1/4" shaft) planing bit in two days and it works quite well. However for my router the shaft is probably 1/4-3/8" too short so I have to keep raising the slab. I am planing the surface by running the router over the board. It would have been better if I could just keep lowering the bit (within reason) as opposed to raising the board and realigning. But it does a nice job cutting.

This is a decent bit for the price. I used it on an small epoxy and walnut board. One side went well, but by second side is was burning wood like crazy, no matter how slow/shallow i was cutting.

Been using it to flatten oak slabs at work & after the first few it dulled down, I use diamond paddles to hone it which works if you do it right, I also bought 2 of these so I switch up after 2 slabs as the bit gets hot & found that it works great when it’s cooled down so it works better & cuts quicker rather than burning the wood & struggling from being too hot… only takes a few minutes to hone these as well so no biggy… would buy again on a cheaper note & 2 or even 3 of these to switch up is a great way to keep them less stressed out & last longer if you’re doing a lot of flattening hard wood
