I attached it to my Soda Stream in a basement stairway so the tank rests on the stairs and the SodaStream rests on a waist height platform. The 5 lb tank has lasted more than 7 months of daily use and I enjoy not having to keep paying for the cylinders. It's already paid for itself.

I read the reviews where others complained about leaking and other issues (mainly leaking). I set it up exactly as the meager directions indicated and have had no problems. And yes, you should always close the tank valve when not is use; that is just standard practice.I highly recommend buying the model with the pressure gauge. One of the complaints was that in the models w/o the gauge there was no way to drain the gas in the tubing before disconnecting. My model has a pressure relief screw (that can be easily finger tightened and loosened) in the gauge assembly.

I bought "CO2 Tank Direct Adapter with 60in Stainless Steel Hose, Direct Connector for Terra DUO Art Gaia Aqua Fizz", But it does not work with an E-Duo, which is the only Duo on the soda spring website.Gas started flowing out of my SodaSpring E-Duo as soon as I (slowly) turned open the valve at my 5 pound Co2 tank! This wasn't a leak at either end of their hose, this is the E-Duo letting gas pour through it, even though no button had been pressed. I tried twice and got the same results. As soon as I went back and installed a standard SodaSpring pink top CO2 Cylinder, it worked fine again.I couldn't find any way to contact GuruDar. It seems they just want to sell stuff, not support it. Next time I'll try a different manufacturer with a customer support link. Hey Amazon, why do you allow manufacturers to sell stuff, and not insist that they include some way to contact them? This ended up wasting my time, and wasting resources shipping junk back and forth.

THIS WORKS WONDERFULLY! I have it attached to a 50 lb CO2 bottle. The SAVINGS OF MAKING SODA AT HOME IS INCREDIBLE!! Not only the savings, BUT BETTER HEALTH-WISE (no aluminum) AS WELL AS BETTER ENVIRONMENTALLY (again, no aluminum). NO MORE SODA CAN DEPOSITS OR RETURNS TO MESS AROUND WITH.The CONVENIENCE, THE $ SAVINGS, the NOT HAVING TO RETURN OR DRINK FROM ALUMINUM CANS!! whew hoo!! We love our Sodastream. We are so glad for THIS DEVICE! It is made well. For those who are use to using the extremely small C02 bottle that is made for Sodastream; SAVE YOURSELF A BUNDLE & GET THIS DEVICE ALONG W/LARGER C02 BOTTLE!!

WASHERS IN THE BAG ARE EXTRA:The washers that it comes with in the little bag are extras - this is not made clear in the instructions, so thanks for the other reviewers for pointing that out! Hopefully I won't ever need them, as I'd have no idea how to even replace those as they seem pretty tightly embedded in the tube connections.WHAT TO DO IF THE VALVE BEHIND THE GAUGE LEAKS:I got the newer version that's supposedly improved that comes with a gauge to show the pressure. Behind that gauge, there's a small circular valve you can twist with your fingers to release any pressure remaining in the tube. Make sure this is CLOSED tightly when you open your CO2 tank valve otherwise you'll just leak gas. Unfortunately this valve doesn't seal completely when it's tightened as much as possible, so I hear a slight leak. In order to not waste gas, whenever I use the sodastream now I open the tank valve, pump the sodastream 1-2 times, close the tank valve, and then continue pumping the sodastream until I use up all the remaining gas pressure in the tube. You'll see the gauge drop down back to 0 to confirm this, and the tubing also "relaxes". This way, no gas is wasted. You're supposed to close the tank valve anyways to be safe, so it's not that bad of an issue. That's why it's 4/5 stars. Once they come out with a completely leak proof system that will be 5 stars.

The product appeared to work, but I realized it had a slow leak some small tanks emptied too quickly. Spraying soapy water on the connector to the CO2 tank revealed a slow leak. I think it was supposed to come with a wash or gasket in that piece, and it is missing it. Metal on metal isn't a good seal, and will empty your CO2 tank.If you order one, check that it has a nylon washer.

Been using this for ~a year to hook a CO2 tank up to a Soda Stream and it has worked great.WARNING! though: inside are some chemicals or manufacturing residue or something noxious. It "poisoned" the first ~2 dozen runs on my soda stream. I ended up taking it off and washing it out with dawn and warm water, and then made sure to dry it well. After that ~5 more batches tasted weird and then everything was normal. So if you want to use it for a food-related task, be sure to clean it out / do some dry runs first.

You can see in my first image (brass/sodastream tank) that there is a theadless gap near the top of the threads. This gap allows the top ridge of the tank to seat into a rubber Oring inside the machine when screwed in.The second picture (black) shows the adaptor sold with this kit, you can tell from the photo that the threads go all the way up, the lack of a threadless portion at the top keeps this from seating against that Oring. This causes a massive leak each time the button is pressed to fizz the water, as all the CO2 just escapes around the threads.Maybe I got a defective one that the threads weren’t done properly, but even in the picture they show on the listing, it doesn’t have the gap needed to fit properly into a sodastream unit.

The transformation in my carbonation experience has been nothing short of phenomenal.I have connected a 20LB CO2 tank to my SodaStream dispense & no longer have to worry about refills for years lol.No funny smells or tastes, this hose has worked flawlessly for 10 months now.The simplicity and ease of use are standout features of this adapter. The straightforward installation process allowed me to effortlessly connect my CO2 tank directly to my SodaStream, eliminating the need for frequent cartridge replacements. The thoughtful design ensures a secure fit, and the included 60-inch high-pressure hose provides flexibility in positioning, making it convenient for any kitchen setup. The CO2 Tank Direct Adapter significantly extends the duration between refills, saving both time and money. The ability to connect to a larger CO2 tank enhances the carbonation capacity, allowing me to enjoy sparkling beverages without the interruption of constantly swapping out small cartridges. It's a game-changer for anyone who appreciates the convenience of a more extended carbonation cycle. The build quality is commendable, ensuring durability and longevity. The materials used in the adapter and hose convey a sense of reliability, instilling confidence in its ability to withstand regular use. The secure connections guarantee a leak-free operation, maintaining the integrity of the carbonation process.Just make sure you check and retighten the aluminum connector of the hose to your SodaStream as pressure can loosen it over time. One notable advantage is the cost-effectiveness of the CO2 Tank Direct Adapter. Over time, the savings from utilizing a larger CO2 tank translate into a more economical and sustainable carbonation solution. The initial investment is quickly offset by the extended lifespan of the larger tank, making it a wise choice for those looking to minimize the environmental impact of single-use cartridges. In conclusion, the CO2 Tank Direct Adapter with the 60-Inch High-Pressure Hose has truly elevated my SodaStream experience. With its user-friendly design, cost-effective operation, durability, and extended carbonation capacity, it's a must-have accessory for anyone seeking a more efficient and convenient way to enjoy sparkling beverages at home. I wholeheartedly recommend this adapter to fellow SodaStream enthusiasts looking to take their carbonation game to the next level. Cheers to effortlessly fizzy refreshments!

Excellent product! It works like a charm. Nylon washer was hard to insert in the adaptor but it does as described for my sodastream and my 20 pounds cylinder. No issue at all.

Update: the company corrected the issue and shipped out a new connector. Works great! Haven’t had any issues since. Would recommend!…the connecter on this hose that goes into the soda stream had failed, costing me a full 5lb tank of co2 until I realized the issue. Putting myself and the family at risk. This is unacceptable.

No problem getting everything tightly together with a Fizzi and 20lbs cylinder. You will definitely need a wrench to get the connector tight enough on the CO2 cylinder, hand tight will result in a leak.No bad aftertaste to report.
