Hex nuts are for general applications and are used with bolts and washers of the same finish. The most commonly used nut, they are often found in deck and fence building. The called out size is the inner diameter and the number of threads per inch or thread pitch.

Came as described. I used a caliper and went through a batch of 20 to check the average diameter and they were right on the money. They should work great for weights on the fidget toys I make which saves me 3-4 bearings for each toy. I plan on going a little bigger to see if I can get more weight on the ends but my test piece functions just fine and is balanced perfectly. Checking to make sure the threads are correct, I tried to thread it on my 3D printer lead screw and the batch I tested have all fit so they seem to have great quality control so far, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who might need them for any given application.
