Mom always used Coats & Clark as I was growing up, and it's still a quality thread. I tried some off-brand stuff and it was coarse and breakable, not the slick and tough thread I was used to. So I'm back to C&C.

It works. I needed this to sew heavier duty Velcro onto a sweatshirt hoodie I cut down the middle of the front in order to convert it to a sort of jacket. That strong Velcro is just hard to sew onto clothing and it took me hours, but this thread got me through the winter layering hoodies as a coat substitute in an extra-mild Minnesota winter.
