Cobalt Chloride Test Paper
For Water, Moisture and Humidity Detection
Our Cobalt Chloride test paper detects the presence of moisture. This test paper is useful in difficult to reach places and recesses. Cobalt chloride test paper is responsive to 50% relative humidity and above, and any direct measure of an aqueous solution.

We were trying to source a water leak and this did the job. Some people stated that these are small--they are, but that's a good thing from my perspective. You can place several of them in a location where you need them, and they are separated from each other that way. That helps you localize the issue.One thing to know: these strips are very sensitive to moisture, so make sure that your fingers are dry when you touch the strips. And replace the top of the container so that no moisture can get in contact with the strips. The cap provides a very snug fit.

We had a plumbing water leak we had been trying to find for 7 months in our new home. The builder could not find it, the plumbers couldn't find it and we couldn't. Finally I ordered these strips and taped them the the lines were the water was collecting in a bucket. There were several connections at this point. After 3 days I finally found which line was causing the problem as the blue turned to light pink. No more leak! I would have given 5 stars but the strips were so small it was very hard to work with in tight spaces!

We are having our bathroom remodeled. I was able to easily check each of the connections before the dry wall was put in. The strips are much more sensitive than just running your finger over a connection for wetness. Strips will indicate even the smallest of leaks.

We used these strips to indicate water vapor in the air during a lab in an Earth Science classroom. They worked exactly as we expected. The strips were delivered in a PRIME manner and were here in time for lab day. Good product, good proce, great delivery time.

Not as fast changing as official humidity testers and it doesn’t come with a reference sheet or indicator key for exactly how humid it is in the area.

I bought these to check if the leak in my motorhome was fixed. I thought they would be a good indicator while my motorhome was in storage to check if there were any drips from a leak I had hopefully fixed. Unfortunately I failed to take into account that they would also change colour in reaction to the damp air and not just in contact with dripping water. Not a fault of the product but not the right thing for my purpose.
