Hello World, My Cobra radar detector cord was snagged and I knew not what to do. Hated to toss out the entire detector or to keep it in the glove compartment over a silly cord. Well, ordered this one and it works GREAT. I plugged it in right away. The casing (the rubber around the wire inside) is a bit thinner than my original and it is not curly (like the old fashioned phone cords). BUT, it works and I can deal with all this. And, worst case scenario I can always order another one - should I ever have to do that. I'm going to keep the old one for reference - even though it is busted! Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading my review. R

Ordered this as a replacement power supply for my radar detector. Worked right out of the box. Extra long cable comes in handy to conceal the cables.

Ordered this cord for my Cobra rad480i. Item description claims to fit all Cobra radar detectors, and (maybe foolishly) I was expecting an OEM replacement, given the "visit the Cobra Store" option at the top of the page, and the cord shown appears identical to the original. Though it came in a timely manner, the cord I received was clearly NOT the one pictured. The cord itself is not round and flexible like the original.. it's a flat cord with a seam between the 2 wires, and feels very stiff and cheap.. much lesser quality than the Cobra brand original. Also, the metal piece on the end that plugs into the unit is slightly shorter than the original, and it does not stay plugged in.Perhaps it may fit other Cobra radar detector models, but definitely does NOT fit the 480i as claimed in the item description.
