This is a really awesome little portable compact disc player!! I've listened to it for hours and hours for a couple of days now and I am prepared to give it a proper review. The sound is crisp and extra great to me, because it has a bass boost. That just gives the music a special drive to it to me. The bass is the back bone of any band and when you have a really good solid driving bass sound, you can really feel the music. It plays the cds well and none of mine skipped at all. I got a black one and really like mine. The cd door is easy to open with a button, when you push it, it pops open. Then you push it shut with your finger. Cd's are fairly easy to load and unload from the player. It has a jack for headphones or another jack to add optimal speakers. There is also an option with this player to repeat and skip tracks or program tracks to play how you want them to. This was a fairly inexpensive portable cd player. I found that for the money I spent, this was an extremely good purchase. I am very pleased with my player. I would purchase it again and I highly recommend this player for adults, children and the elderly as well.So, to sum up, this is an awesome sounding little disc player. The sound quality is simply remarkable for listening to music cd's. It is very simple to use and one really needs no instructions to figure out how to run the machine. For the money, I believe it was an extremely great purchase. An investment no doubt.However, with all it's great qualities, I did find one thing that I don't like. And that is the volume control. Every time you put in a new cd and close the door, the volume control goes to a very high level. It was a little loud for my ears, so when the song started, I had to quickly turn down the volume. So, you just have to remember to check the volume after loading a new cd each time. If not, you will be blasted!!

The Coby portable cd player is very reasonably priced and performs just as well as the pricier Sony. On the other hand, I also have cassette books on tape. The Jaras JJ-2016 worked for approximately 3 months and then started slowing down until the words were intelligible. I was promised a replacement 10 months ago but they have conveniently forgotten about it. I will try a Coby and see if I get as good of a cassette player as the cd player. Do not waste your money or your time on the Jaras. They look good but perform badly.

I like this cd player but I wish it was more reliable playing mp3 cds. I always use the same format and sometimes it plays a cd and other times it acts like there's nothing on it, I listen to all mp3s at work so it sucks that some work and some don't. Unfortunately I have to use an old school cd player at work as there are no electronics or cell phones allowed in our office so I'm at the mercy of whatever I can find. The radio works well. The sound is ok, no bass boost or anything. The plastic film on the cd player looks like it was removed and put back on, making me wonder if this is a used unit.

Tiene buen sonido y sorprendentemente si tiene unos bajos descuentes dependiendo de los audÃfonos o el equipo amplificador que se le conecte, y efectivamente lee mp3 y cds tanto originales como grabados, convenientemente está equipado con entrada mini usb para usarlo sin baterÃas simplemente conectado a un antiguo cargador de celular o a un puerto USB de cualquier computadora o laptop, tiene radio fm y función de buffer antisaltos para seguir reproduciendo música al estar en movimiento, ya veré como funciona más adelante. Y efectivamente llegó antes de tiempo gracias a Amazon.

Liked it so much that I bought another one for my sister. I use them for walking and it makes it so much more pleasant to listen to music. I use headphones because I don't like putting anything in my ear.

Perfect condition. Good sound quality, doesn't skip, solid and sturdy (accidentally dropped it twice and still works) came safely and arrived before time. If looking for a nice flashback to the past definitely recommend. Nice to listen to CDs again rather than through my phone. Only critique (and it's small, is the sound is set on high every time you start it) but that's easy fixed by turning it down before putting headphones on.
