I can muddle a slice of cucumber for a gimlet in one go... no more squish, squish, squish. One shot, one kill. This thing is also easy to clean, no cross-hatching or serrations for fruit to get stuck in. And it has some heft to it: it can definitely be used for self-defense in a pinch.

It's heavy and sturdy, perfect for mashing fresh ingredients or crushing ice.

I bought this on the recommendation of Dave Arnold's book, Liquid Intelligence. It is probably the best muddler i've used, it has a fine texture on it that prevents it from slipping out of your hands, even when wet.HOWEVER - Be careful when using it to muddle with liquid nitrogen. I tapped it on the side of my shaking tin to try to get some of the frozen herbs off of it, and inadvertently created some some hairline cracks. This is not to say that it wouldn't be just fine for nitro muddling - I would just avoid tapping it against anything while cold. When my muddler warmed up, the cracks were nearly imperceptible and I have been unable to break it afterwards, even after slamming it against a countertop (I wanted to make sure it wouldn't crumble in someone's drink)

Is this muddler Bad Ass? It most certainly is. Solid at 14 ounces and with good heft it will make short work of anything you need to muddle. The muddler is made from food-grade plastic so you don't have to worry about bits of wood or varnish getting in your drinks(tangent--who decided it was a good idea to VARNISH muddlers?). It doesn't retain smells and is easily cleaned. Unless you lose it this thing should last you a lifetime. Heck it's heavy enough that you could use it ward off a mugger! Also props to Cocktail Kingdom for their awesome customer service. The muddler was shipped quickly. When I had a problem with the first one( a chunk was taken out of the bottom) I notified them and they replaced it immediately, no questions asked and didn't even make me go through hassle of returning the defective one. I use the good one for my cocktails and the defective one as a makeshift pestle. If you are looking for a affordable reliable muddler to last a lifetime, look no further.

Cocktail Kingdom tools may be expensive, but they are professional grade and come with a life time garuntee. That's coming from a professional bartender. If it breaks on the job, contact them and they replace it for free.

Honestly, this muddler is the best if you’re working in Wisconsin. It pulverizes everything in the glass and makes amazing Wisconsin old fashioneds. Nothing better.

Best muddler ever! This thing is everything i’ve ever wanted in a muddler. Heavy duty, tough yet sleek.None of those stupid teeth on the bottom like all the other muddlers that just shred your ingredients to pieces. I might end up buying a second one for Work. This is an absolute beauty.
