Step 1:
Turn the date display disk until te next two months of use are shown.
Step 2:
To active the filter, fully soak the filter hole under running water until water out from the other side.
Step 3:
Remove the tank from the machine and fill it with water. Insert the filter into the water tank and fully immerse it for about ten seconds, tilting it so that air bubbles can come out. Gently press the filter to expel the air
Step 4:
Insert the filter into its housing and push it down to the bottom.

My machine stopped dispensing coffee and after taking apart the machine I realized that there were lots of air bubbles in the pump tubes. After further investigation I found that the filter was acting like a straw (it has a terrible seal at the top) and pulling air into the pump. If you have air in the system the pump has significantly reduced pressure and will not work! Just spend the extra money and buy name brand.
