This worked to resolve a pressure issue on a lantern. It was an easier fix than replacing the plunger.

Liked - (vendor) very fast delivery, OK price. Shipping seemed a bit high.Product - I ordered two. These are shiny brass finish (not green, red, bronze painted or otherwise.This is a drop-in screw-in OEM fitting replacement for vintage or newer Coleman White Gas / Fuel Stove or Lanterns. In photo i show my vintage bronze 1950s era cap with screw (three-piece). It was leaking when pressurized. (Found at a Thrift store $20. My parents had a bronze tank 413E when i was a kid). Hint - fill a tall bucket or sink with enough water to cover detachable tank and nozzle (generator arm). Tighten everything including knob that opens fuel sprayer. Turn pump rod all the way to right to close off. Fill sink, loosen (left) pump rod, pump 35 times, tighten back to right +hold pressurized tank under water - if you see any air bubbles - you have a leak. Mine was leaking slightly from my newly acquired 413E stove's original cap. Not a big threat - but hey--- a 60-year-old part? I smelled fuel. There is a lot of internet instruction on how to re-build the caps with screws - the gaskets need to be burned and scraped out - with a new one fitted. These caps I ordered are most current. They have little vents inside the caps - horizontal cut-outs This is the modern safety purpose design. Old caps with no vents when opened could spray de-pressurized air and fuel towards the stove/lantern flame or heated objects, dangerous. Only downside is I wish these were colored for vintage look. You can spray with automotive fuel proof paint. Without the screw in cap - not antique looking. Or, attempt a rebuild with new gasket --although at Old Coleman Parts . com or someplace (?) I read that non-OEM gaskets were being sold (not fuelproof) you cannot go to ACE hardware and match the gaskets they are not O rings either. Try a reputable Coleman branded parts place. Be careful when lighting up your Coleman product - only outdoors - never indoors - Carbon Monoxide poisoning. I see youtube videos of folks lighting these up in garages = DANGER! Enjoy - :)

Not worth trying to fix single piece Coleman fuel caps, buy a real Coleman cap. If your lantern or stove dies after starting it most likely is the cap

コールマンの285ランタンの給油口の蓋を無くしました。アレを無くすなんて我ながらなんというしょーもなさだと思いますが、しかし、さすがは我らがコールマン。こんな物までamazonで手に入ります。やったぜコールマン！285は現行品の定番、286aと同じパーツが流用できるのでかなり助かります。元々付いていた蓋は本体に合わせた銀色でしたが、買い直した蓋は真鍮の様な金色。これはこれでカスタム感があり嬉しい。次は無くさないようにしたい。本当に助かる。
