I wanted something simple for the counter. I have a large compost bin outside but I needed something inside so I could collect and then dispose of. The bags are compostable as well. It does not smell. Even after a week of fill. It can hold quite a bit. It’s easy to put together and remove the bags when needed. It’s easy to open but slams shut. No flies have been around. The charcoal filter is working great. It really absorbs those odors. While it is collapsible, it won’t collapse randomly. It’s a tough material that requires effort to collapse. It’s been perfect for me!

This is the best compost bin I’ve ever owned. It’s not as cute as some, but it is so well designed and so effective. It controls odor and pests unbelievably well and is so easy to clean. Just the right size and I love the hinged lid. Also like the way it folds up small for storage. It comes with plastic bags but I don’t use them since I don’t want them in the compost, just an unnecessary complication as far as I can see. I don’t need the bags since the container cleans up so easily. Excellent product in my opinion.

I love this compost bin. Lid fits tight enough that no smell escapes into the room.I empty my bin ea weekend so that also would keep the smell down.Light weight, easy to change the bag too.I have had other bins and w/o that filter the smell overwhelms the whole kitchen.I like how it can collapse and as I fill it I lift it up for more room, takes up less space.

Easy to clean and has held up well - they also include compost bags and a spare carbon filter. As well as a walnut sponge. Good purchase!

Bought for while camping, Easy to use, large enough for a week away in the camper, no fruit flies in the camper, controls odor so even our dogs don't notice. After use, easy to clean and pack away.

I wouldn’t purchase this compost bin again or recommend it. While it does keep smell out, the lid does not close tightly enough so we had a problem with fruit flies all the time. We tried to fix it with different solutions over a span of a year and the best solution was to buy another compost bin. Disappointed because aside from that, I loved everything else about the bin :(

You know when you go to the store and there are so many toothpaste choices that you kind of just stand there for a minute blankly wondering, "How different could any of these really be?"When I decided to start composting my kitchen scraps, I felt kind of like that. I am sure there are minor differences that might be a big deal to somebody, but if you are feeling overwhelmed and just need to make a decision, pick this one.Things it has going for it:- Comes with compostable bags that fit!- Can toss it in the dishwasher if it gets nasty (at least I have and it's fine).- Easy to wipe down if it's not yet dishwasher time.- Has one of those filter things in the top. Does it really do anything? Who knows.- It collapses. I guess this is good for shipping? I use it all the time, so it's not like I put it into storage, but if you plan on packing it away, it's a fine feature.- For plastic, it looks nice enough. I don't have an HGTV kitchen though, so your experience may vary.Good price. Good product. Go for it.

I love it. It's sturdy and contains the smell. The bags that came with it are great as well, no issues with leakage or tearing. It's super easy to rinse out and it's definitely a perfect addition to the space

I bought this caddy after developing a composting obsession, and it's even better than I expected.The colour is beautiful, and it looks majestic and modern in my kitchen. The filter means it emits no foul odours, and it's easy to lift and carry.It folds down easily too, which is very handy when I bring it home, after emptying it down at my allotment. It's also really easy to clean. (The light-coloured interior makes it easy to see if it's clean).All in all, I couldn't ask for more in a caddy!

This item is ideal for managing food waste whilst on holiday in the UK. It is easy to open and collapse. The little rubber tab for opening the lid is a thoughtful design feature. The supplied bags are a perfect fit and the cleaning sponge/scrubber is a useful addition. Having used it for two weeks recently I can vouch that it is fit for purpose and represents great value.
