I've hand sewn since I was 4 years old, but was never told how important quality needles were for sewing. The Colonial needles slip through fabric like butter. They're machined beautifully, very easy to thread and leave no mark behind on my delicate fabric. They're well worth the extra pennies & I suggest like I did, throw out all your old needles & replace with these. You won't be sorry! BTW, needles are sized to match thread count/coarseness of weave as well as the heaviness of thread & use in sewing. Crewel needles have a longer eye & all needles get larger, the lower the number (for instance a #7 is LARGER than a #10.

I had seen online that you could purchase No. 7 mechanical pencils, take out the lead and replace it with a No. 7 needle to make a fine weeding tool. It's absolutely true and makes the best weeding tool for fine details I could have ever imagined! Needles are nice and sharp!

I use these needles for my hand embroidery hobby and love them. They glide through the material with ease. Easy to thread as well. Worth the cost!

Love these needles, always a favorite. Appreciate a larger eye, and still a sharp point and sleek shaft. Comfortable, great price! Very pleased.

One of my favorite needles for embroidery and crewel work. The eye is easy to thread although with some thicker threads I may use a needle threader. The eye does not leave a hole in the fabric. It flies through the fabric very easily.

I don't know what I can say about a needle that could be helpful to potential buyers but they were packaged well and new.

These are okay. I was a little disappointed that the eye of the needles were not bigger. I need to use a needle threader because I can't see well enough to thread without the threader but the needles are nice a thin which I like.
