Used this dye in a tractor's hydraulic system. The oil level is measured by a small window in the tractor axle. With standard hydraulic oil it is difficult to determine if the level is full or empty. The red dye makes the oil level readily visible.

I put 3 milliliters (a little more than half a teaspoon) in 11 gallons of hydraulic fluid, and now I can easily see the level in the sight glass. Don't get it on you.

I put about 6 drops in my tractors hyd fill port. And it makes seeing the level in the sight glass much easier. Word of caution. It works very well as a dye!!!

I used the dye to color the hydraulic fluid in my case tractor. It did as it should and now I can see it on the dip stick

They have pictured a quart bottle and send you 4 ounces. The price was ridiculous for a quart size but $11.00 per ounce is an insane price. Also, not returnable. Just robbery.

I put a very small amount (roughly 30 drops) into my 10 gallon hydraulic system on my 40hp tractor and the dye colored the fluid wonderfully. I can now see the fluid level in the sight window!
