- Test the alarm First, HOW TO TEST IT(3 steps):
- Step 1: Install the batteries in clean air , then press the test button for five seconds to test the units electronics, beeps will sound if it's normal;
- Step 2: Leave it in clean air for one minute;
- Step 3: Then put it into a sealed bag, spray some smoke or CO gas into the bag and seal it. Waiting for about one minute, the Alarm will go off if it's normal.
[NOTE: DO NOT test it by directly burning something under this alarm, which is an invalid test.]
- HOW TO SILENCE THE ALARM
- SMOKE ALARM BEEPS: When smoke alarm beeps you can press the test/rest button to enter it into mute state(NOTE: If you want to exit the mute state and return it to normal state, you need to press the button again-[Manually exit]; or it will auto-exit the mute state after waiting about 6 munites or when the alarm detected clean air-[Auto-exit])
- CO ALARM BEEPS：Only when detected clear air can it silence the alarm(if the room still exist high level of CO the alarming will keep alarm until the air was cleaned)
[NOTE: If the unit sounds all the time The unit is of malfunction. please Reinstall the battery to repeat the operation Until the unit is normal.]

- Appearance and Button
- Green LED: The green LED flashes about every 40 seconds to indicate the unit operate properly
- Red LED: When a dangerous level of smoke or carbon monoxide is detected the red LED will continuously flash and the alarm will sound: The alarm sound pattern is four short alarm beeps for CO alarm and continuous beeps for smoke alarm. The red LED will continuously flash while in alarm mode.
- One ‘chirp’ every 40 seconds is an indication that the battery is low

- Note: Normal smoke gas is Smoldering fire smoke gas, Smoldering fire smoke gas is different with kitchen/cooking oil fumes. the smoke alarm is designed to detect and alarm for normal Smoldering fire smoke gas, not for kitchen/cooking oil fumes, kitchen/cooking oil fumes causes many false alarms, so the new safety standard UL217 requires smoke alarm depletes the false alarm caused by kitchen/cooking oil and reduce the rate of false positives. please install the device in the right place under instructions.
- Easy to install
- Turn the alarm body counterclockwise and take off the bracket(NOTE: When installation please follow the circular arrow direction that Marked on the product for rotating the Mounting base/Bracket; PRESS DOWN AND TWIST).
- Hold the bracket in the installation position as specified in the Recommended Locations, mark installation holes of the bracket with pencil.
- Drill the two marked installation holes. Tap the two plastic grommets into holes with hammer.
- Mount the bracket to the ceiling by inserting and tightening the supplied screws into plastic grommets
- Fix the alarm on the bracket and turn the alarm body clockwise, until fully inserted on the bracket

I bought this alarm to take when I travel. I have one in my house. I know this brand is very reliable. I tested the alarm, it has perfect noise range! I’m taking this alarm when I travel makes me and my family feel safe. The alarm is very functional and has a long battery life! I gifted one to my sister as she travels as well.

I ordered 1 detector and within 5 minutes of install, it starts going off. No smoke, or CO2 in the house. I take it outside, reset it, it goes off again and detects smoke. I return it, and order another one, it does the samething! Take it outdoors, reset it, it detects smoke, take it to another home, it detects smoke....EXCEPT the beeping was so quiet my 82 yr old Dad could not hear the detector going off on this particular unit. (The prior one was loud) These are made in China, are defective, and need to be pulled off the market! DO NOT BUY!!

This is my second purchase of this product. It is a great value for the money. I like the compact size. The batteries, if you use the AA2 will last two years before having to be replaced. The product works really well and is very responsive. It is easy to use and install. The best feature is the ease of changing the batteries. You don't have to take the whole unit down to replace the batteries. I highly recommend this product.

I needed a couple of these for a rental house that uses natural gas and it doubles as a smoke detector. I actually purchased another one for our home. They are very inexpensive and you don’t have to worry about any unknown gas leaks. I’m happy with it
