Used these instead of wood bit while repairing my retaining wall with 6x6 and our garden bed with garden ties. Easy to get aligned & started. Used by 18v cordless drill & everything worked great. The variety of sizes was the key to this purchase for me.

So far I have only used the 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" diameter bits. I needed these sizes for my large R/C model airplane project. I drilled through 1/4" Basswood and 1/8" Lite plywood (from 8" away). The bits were very sharp and measured the correct diameter. These bits are LONG. The 1/8" and 1/4" were straight and had a minimal "wobble". The 3/16" had a bow (curve) to the shaft and had considerable wobble. These bits are soft and can be bent by hand. They worked OK for my project, but make sure to support the middle of the shaft if possible.

I needed to drill about 60 holes in some treated 4x4s, some of which were still pretty damp in the centers. These blew through them all with no issues. Just be sure to use a decent drill and remember to back the bits out about half way through to clear out the flutes and you will have no problems.

Completely worthless. By far the most flexible drillbits I’ve ever seen in my nearly 50 years of woodworking. If you do happen to drill a straight hole with one of these, it was just pure dumb luck, they wander all over the place, even when I try drilling a pilot hole with a regular drill bit these drill, bits end up coming out of the side of the two by sixes that I’m trying to drill holes in. They have been worse than just a waste of money.

This is a nice package and assortment of very long drill bits. They are useful for deep drilling and hard to get places.

Length is good for deep drilling in wood. Smallest diameter drill bits aren't very sturdy and care must be taken to prevent bending and breaking.
