I used the 1/2" bit to make holes in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket so I can plant tomato plants. Worked perfectly and chewed through the thick plastic in no time.I learned the trick of drilling with a counter clock wise spin, seems to work out better.

I ended up ordering these for a project I was working on. While comparing these to other options, I tried to keep in mind that I did not plan on having much of a use for them after a weekend of heavy use. While these were an affordable option, I would have opted to shovel out extra dough if I was to do it all over. I got a good bit out of these on the first hole that was made, but found these (specifically the 7/8th) was really struggling by hole 6. All in all, I have no intention of returning these and the job got done, but I highly recommend weighing out the project that you are doing, the amount of extra effort, if any, that you are willing to put in, and the quality of the finished product, before pulling the trigger.
