Anyone reading this review probably knows that a compression test is a simple (mostly) way to check the health of an engine. As someone who buys and sells used cars I definitely wanted to have this in my tool kit.Overall I think this is a decent kit, especially for the price. It comes with several screw-on adapters for different spark plug sizes and even a couple rubber tipped extensions in case the adapters don’t fit the engine you’re testing. The gauge is clear and easy to ready with a handy bleeder valve for releasing pressure.In testing it worked fine except for an issue with one of the adapters. The threads were not properly machined so it would not screw onto the hose, forcing me to run a tap into it to clean-up the treads. For this reason and what it says about the quality, I removed one star from the review. A little harsh perhaps but I didn’t feel it was worthy of a 5-star rating.Note of caution- be sure the adapter you’re using is screwed tightly to the pressure hose because if not, you run the risk of it remaining in the cylinder head when you unscrew the hose.

I have one compression tester that is better quality but does not have as many fittings and no case. The case and extra fittings is what I like about this one. The gauge is metal covered in a rubber. The hose is good and flexible. The fittings I did try sealed good with no leaks. I tried it on a couple small engines of known compression and it appeared to read accurate. Anytime you change your spark plugs, it is always good practice to check your compression and write it down. Also great for checking them small engines that don't start great. These are great to have on hand.

This is a really nice kit, lots of different fixtures for fitting it on. It fit securely and seemed to test accurately. Came in a nice little case to keep it all together nicely.

It will do the job of testing for compression. I wouldn't guess they're well calibrated, but for most jobs, you don't need exact compression numbers. Handy tool to have in the kit.

Great compressor kit, and not bad for the price. Works as described.For someone like me that is always working on Cars or ATV's it's a must have.Tool and adapters comes in a hard plastic box, there 4 different size adapters for different sized spark plugs. Very easy to use and connect.
