Connecticut Electric manufactures new high quality replacement circuit breakers for Challenger load centers that accept Challenger Type A style circuit breakers. Circuit breakers should only be replaced with new testd and Safety Agency Listed circuit breakers, never used or refurbished ones.

This 120 volt Challenger "A" Series 20 amp, single pole, With Left Side Clip, replacement circuit breaker is used in a Challenger load center. Typical applications, up to 2,200 watts, include kitchen circuits, branch circuits, wall receptacles, electric heaters (up to 1,650 watts), dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, window air conditioners (110V, up to 5,500 BTU) and electric motors (3/4 hp to 1-1/4 hp). These are only suggested applications and cannot assure compliance with all local codes. Please check local electrical codes before starting any electrical project.

Having a older home breakers are coming harder and harder to find and hardware stores are charging a arm and a leg I found these one and it works great and was a extract fit and great on my wallet I was able to fix my problem

This product has been discontinued, and Amazon was the only place I could find a company that still made them. I eventually returned the product because my fuse box was replaced with a more modern box and the breaker would no longer work in the new box. The reimbursement went smoothly.

If you have an old circuit breaker box, then you already know these are hard to find locally. They are a little tricky to install at first but with a little trying they fit and perform perfectly. These should work for all side clip circuit breakers according to an electrical supply person I spoke with. Make sure to check whether you need the right side clip or the left side clip.
