These are very high quality gamma-lid buckets with an unusual design feature. The bucket has a molded hand-hold on one side of the bottom. This is a very nice feature to allow better handling, especially for pouring from the bucket, but be aware that this does involve a small raised area on the inside bottom of the bucket (forming a small ledge inside where the hand-hold cavity was formed). The gamma lids were very well-made; smooth with no plastic flashing or rough edges and both O-ring gaskets were in-place and intact in every lid. The lids are a little difficult to assemble on the buckets, but just take your time. I sat down with the bucket between my legs and pressed down firmly to seat the lid incrementally around the edges. I used a rubber mallet to seat the last part of the rim edge. There are a number of videos on-line that describe different methods for assembly including kneeling on a board across the top, using rubber mallets or standing on the rim. I believe the best approach is to seat as much of the rim as possible before trying to use a rubber mallet to avoid over-stressing and potentially cracking the lid rim. Once assembled, the threaded lids work great and allow easy access to the bucket contents. Highly recommended.

Great buckets. Lids were a little hard to get on, but I like that they're optional. Lids screw on and off which is nice and creates a solid seal. The handle on the bottom is a little weird so make sure you're not expecting flat bucket bottoms, but other than that its great quality, sturdy, 5 gallon buckets.

Very nice buckets and lids. Heavy duty durable and the lids fit well. I will buy more if needed.

These buckets seem pretty nice. I really like the gamesile lids for easy access and the handle on the bottom. It is nice for pouring out content without having to have it.Slip out of your hand. If you're looking to use these for long term storage, I would recommend getting the mylar, five gallon bucket bags to use in conjunction with the buckets. I believe they sell them in a set. The buckets in the bags.

This is my second order of these buckets and lids from Consolidated Plastics. Had no problem getting rings & lids onto the buckets with the first six buckets I purchased. All was going well with this second set until I started experiencing a tough time with three lids and two buckets, trying to get the ring of the lids onto the buckets. Eventually ruined three lids and two buckets. I contacted customer service via Amazon "email" service. Company representative responded within half a day. Provided me with a video to watch regarding best way to get the ring part of the lid onto the buckets, sent me three replacement lids and two buckets which arrived in just a couple of days. Did exactly how to video instructed, everything went well. Probably my fault for it all, however Consolidated Plastics demonstrated EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE above and beyond!! I will be a lifetime customer for sure! WIll be placing another order within a couple of weeks.

A lot of people complain about getting the lid rings on and I agree. But I like that about them too. Use a rubber mallet or sit on them after you get them started. Kind of schooch around the lid on your bottom.

Broke 2 lids trying to get them to fit. Lids fit on Home Depot buckets I already have, but not on these buckets they have to big of a lip. Only could get a couple lids on with vasoline and hard hammering with a rubber mallet.
