I’m an experienced chef and pretty old-school, so I most often need to hard boil more than six (6) eggs at a time. But for 1 to 6 eggs at a time, this egg steamer works very well. But, note the following:- Older eggs will peel easier than freshly bought eggs.- Eggs that come out of this steamer should be immediately immersed in ice-water to loosen the shells, and they all should be peeled immediately, even if they’re to be eaten later.- The minerals in the water you use will remain on the unit and have to be cleaned off with vinegar periodically. Using distilled water will minimize the residue, if that’s important to you.- The unit does not have rubber feet so it can slide easily on a countertop. Bumping the cord could knock it off the table. I recommend setting the unit on a silicone mat.- The duration of steaming is driven by evaporation, not by an electric timer, so trust the water volume ratio to number of eggs—their chart is accurate and matches my experience.- The quality of the finished eggs, their flavor and consistency, were all satisfactory—no complaints.So, for its ease of use, efficiency, and price point, this is a trustworthy product.

I bought this to replace one (other brand) we've had for the past 3 years. (which worked just fine) It is complete garbage. The cooker does not shut off, I had to unplug it, the instructions say you have to tap a hole in small end of each egg to cook and if you don't, this may void warranty and oddly, no ding, buzz, click, nothing to tell you when it's done. So after unplugging it to turn it off, I'm returning it. Goodluck reading the horribly translated instructions.

I love hardboiled eggs. Making them when disabled is...more difficult than you'd think. This thing makes perfect eggs.
