I have small counters so this fits perfectly. I should have bought this a long time ago and saved myself the struggle of trying to use something else laying near by to prop it open.

I'm using this to display some plates that were made as a gift to me, it's real wood, it smells of wood, it looks great and rustic!

This is very basic, and easy to use; easy to store. It has two pieces, which when placed flat together slide right between my cookbooks. It's a pretty basic structure, and the finish is on the rustic side, but it does what it is supposed to.

This wooden, 2-part bookstand by Canareen is a lovely little device. Smooth finish over a stained (pine?) wooden body, it is two pieces that fit together like a monkey puzzle--making it very sturdy. In my photo I show how it holds a 6x9 paperback book--probably the smallest size you could use in this bookstand--perfect for us, as we sell 6x9 books at literary conferences.I ordered 3 initially to see how they would do, and found them perfect for our Smoky Mountains table decor I'll be ordering more now that I know how well they work. This is an A++ buy.

I sent this item back due to my plate being too big for it . If you have a recipe book or smaller plate may work.

Cheap, rough wood, nothing to hold the pieces together but two slots in the wood, and the bottoms are SUPER uneven and it wobbles like crazy when you put it on a flat surface. Like it is clearly visible that one “foot†is elevated almost an inch off the table because it’s so poor quality and badly put together. I got this for my iPad but I would never trust this stand with any expensive or fragile item. Don’t waste your money.
