I consider myself zero experience with this type of thing. I can sew a button but haven’t done any real sewing since it was still taught in schools.Santa brought my kid a wooble kit for Xmas and I thought it looked fun so I got this one for myself.The kit is great, all packaged in a tin that useful during and after the project. The yarn is easy, and there is extra of all the colors in case you mess up. The video instructions are helpful and they also have extra info beyond just the kit.I found the hook a little small at first (3mm vs 4mm in the wooble kit) but I got used to it and think it made the appendages much more doable. The tail on my leopard was tight, would probably be hard with any bigger hook.Since I have a wooble brand kit I can directly compare them. Hooks the comfort is slightly better in wooble. Yarn feels pretty identical, needle, very close if not identical, stitch markers are identical. The eyes in this kit are nicer, and easier to make sit right. The video content is about the same in terms of overall use, but the woobles are broken into smaller segments so you don’t have to find where you were in a 2 hr video.Price is the biggest consideration for this kit vs woobles. I paid less than half for this and feel like I got every bit as good of a kit. Highly recommend this as a starting point to see if you like it.

This is a great kit for beginner and more advanced crocheters alike. Everything is included and it’s all quality materials. Great ergonomic crochet hook is far better than in some other kits. The yarn is plentiful and best I’ve found so far. Even the stitch markers included are substantial enough to last for whole project. I love the tin that everything comes in for keeping it all together. The safety eyes are easy to install, but if it’s for a very little one, you can embroider the eyes very easily. I was so impressed by this company’s commitment to make everybody successful by the explicit written directions and the carefully produced video. I’m just a crocheting grandmother, not a professional reviewer or an advanced arumigarumi maker. But I love this series of critters and have purchased two more to make a menagerie for my soon to be born great-niece. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed and the price is much better than Woobles, which also is a great product. This one is better.Update: I’ve gotten several more of these wonderful kits Each has plenty of materials to finish project, great directions and recipients love the critters. I’m looking forward to whatever new kits this company offers in the future. Great prices, values and perfect Xmas gift for crafters.

I've never crocheted on my own like this before. I usually have someone guide me so this was a new experience to read and learn myself.Pros:Kit comes with everything you need and will help with future projects if you continue to take this on. The kit came with three different stitch markers (loved these things), a thick needle to sew it all together, stuffing, eyes for the jellyfish, and of course the crochet hook itself and yarn. The video shows you step by step how to do it as well as pdf guides on common stitches. There is also some variation in how you want to make yours so each one can be a little different.Cons:There were times the video and instructions were a little different to understand but with a quick Google search you can figure it out. If this was a bit more clear it would've taken less time to make it but overall not enough of a reason to make me not recommend it.Highly recommend for a fun activity. It took me maybe a day or two overall to complete it. It ended up being bigger than the pictured size.

Very cute pattern. I loved to have the tin that I can reuse instead of a plastic bag that will just pollute the Earth. The yarn is good quality and there is a full instructional video of the ENTIRE piece, not just snippets. The price point is also good. This particular pattern may be a bit complicated for a beginner. I think one of their animals may be a bit easier.

Got these for my daughter for Christmas. She's 13. She absolutely loved them. I got her the bunny, the koala and the turtle. Very good instructions and there was enough yarn leftover to make a second one. She just had to get more stuffing. Great buy considering the cost of some of the other kits on the market

This jellyfish is incredibly cute! I love the final product. The quality is a step up from some other amigurmi kits--the animal is sized a bit bigger and the eyes are deluxe. The video gives good directions and you can also download a written pattern.

I knew nothing when I started and I think I did a pretty decent job. I screwed up plenty and had to re-do parts, but I think that’s part of learning! I misunderstood the pattern early on, but once I realized it won’t be totally symmetrical after a few rounds (like two single then a double, then two single) everything clicked (don’t skip that part of the video! She explains it!) and I busted through the rest. I ordered Pearl to try next!Yes, the instructions are online and you’ll probably need to rewatch parts of the video a few times, but I promise you’ll get the hang of it with practice. My only regret is not throwing away a few inches of yarn at the start when I’d made it way too fuzzy, you get plenty, so I could have started over fresh with less fuzz!

I enjoyed making Leo the Leopard. I learned how to create a crochet string from my grandma when I was young and didn't really continue practicing. She recently passed, and I thought of getting back to crocheting just to keep those memories alive. I looked for a simple project to make and found this.There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to make. Following and understanding the pattern is easy. I would recommend watching the full video first before starting anything.

This is my first ever crochet project EVER! Before this I did not know how to make a single crochet stitch. The video instructions are so detailed, very clear and easy to follow, with all the tools included !Will absolutely recommend for beginners.I think I found my new hobbie!
