I have bought two of these to use with a telescope for astrophotography. I'm able to plug these into the USB port on a portable power pack that I use with them. These heat strips work very well, they do heat up quickly, and you are able to adjust a low medium and high setting. They fit both 8-in telescope and a small telescope that I have as well. So just make sure you do buy the correct length for the telescope you may have.

I purchased this as I was going to a different climate near the ocean and would be taking pictures of the Milky Way.. This lens heater is very nice, charged easily and fit my lenses.. Keeps the lenses from fogging up in that type of climate.. Wasn't terribly expensive either and I would definitely recommend if you are going in and out of the house taking pictures and condensation can affect your lenses.. Folds down small enough that it doesn't take a lot of room in my camera bag also.

Draws about 1.5A in use, so 7.5 watt heater when on "high". The temperature control is by on-off switching at a low speed, so it's a very simple and effective design.

Exactly what the doctor ordered.I used it several times on astrophotography excursions where my camera was set up for Timelapse's and where the temperatures are such that would cause the lenses to fog up. These prevented that from happening.Highly recommend.

There's a good amount of adjustment so it fits a range of lenses (up to ΓƒΛœ 4.5"). Has long cords so putting the battery pack on the ground is possible even with a tall tripod. Heat strap is padded so it should provide some insulating benefits as well.

This lens warmer worked great for Colorado temperatures. I purchased this for my boyfriend as we recently had camera issues due to low temperatures in Chicago in December. This warmer kept our camera warm enough for photops even while in the mountains! Great quality for the value. Plus it feels good, haha

Controller switch turns itself off after only a few minutes of use. Spoiled many of my photos. Bypassed and discarded the switch and plugged directly into battery.
