I could not get the drain plug to seal on my RV hot water heater due to rusty threads. I got these to clean the threads and it did the trick.

It cleans the pipe quite well, but it’s just assembled plastic pieces that fall apart. it’s easy to click everything back together but would be nice to not fall apart in the first place

Outside pipe cleaning tool came apart within the first 10 seconds on the 1". Built cheaply. Guess that's what you get. Should stick with Ridgid
