I mean... as the name suggests, it HOLDS my SOLDERING IRON, and the coiled brass is pretty nice for cleaning the tip of the iron. Cheap and effective for its job

This holder is a great size. It's got a pretty small footprint and is very sturdy. When I put the soldering iron in, it feels very secure. The one thing worth mentioning is that when you do put the soldering iron in if it kind of sits all the way and the tip of the side and iron comes up and touches the metal backing on the inside. My worry is that then heat from a soldering iron will be transferred to the back plate which could be cooling down your soldering iron. I don't know if it would do damage to the back plate. I just make sure that when I put the soldering iron in I don't go all the way in so that the tip does not touch the back plate

It's good metal, and feels real. The gold steel wool is a bit excessive, it's a bit large for the container, but with time it will shrink with use. It's a holder for your soldering iron that doesn't feel like it's going to tip over easy or catch fire.
