This cordless electric pole pruning shears have been a fantastic addition to my outdoor tools. I did a lot of searching for one that could handle both high places and had a larger opening, and this fit the bill. I bought this to tackle some high-up palm tree branches, and it performs exceptionally well. The operation is straightforward, flip the power switch, pull the trigger twice to open the blades, hold the trigger to adjust the opening, and hold a bit longer to close the blades again. The blades slice through branches effortlessly, making it feel like they’re gliding through butter. I actually thought they were snagging at first because it was so smooth, haha. The adjustable pole allows you to reach high spots easily, and its angle adjust head design ensures you can get the job done without much hassle. It comes with two batteries, a charger, a strap, and maintenance tools, which adds great value. The weight distribution is well-balanced because the shears engage on the top and the battery snaps into the bottom of the pole, and the safety features are a nice touch so that you don't have to worry about cutting things you aren't meaning to while it's on the pole. Although the replacement blade shown in the manual wasn’t included, it wasn't mentioned in the actual listing or the images so I can't ding it for that, and it still doesn’t detract from the overall performance. For the price, this tool is awesome, and exactly what I was looking for. Would still recommend!

I am pleased with the performance of this Cordless Electric Long Handle Tree Trimmer and the 2 batteries that it came with, however, I wish that the batteries were more powerful and more similar to my other rechargeable tool's batteries. The batteries included with this cordless tree trimmer need to be recharged often. Because of that this tree trimming tool is probably not suitable for professional tree trimming work, but, it is perfectly suitable for lighter use at home.I wish that the batteries that came with this tree trimmer had a separate charger like my other rechargeable tools do. That is probably because I am more familiar with rechargeable batteries that have separate charging stations. The difference in the way that the batteries are charged doesn't affect the performance of this tree trimmer.I find this cordless tree trimmer a bit tricky to operate. For me that trickiness begins at the very beginning when I am trying to attach the battery and the trimmer head to the tree trimmer's pole. The receptacles on each end of the pole look very similar. The last time that I used this tree trimmer I spent 10 minutes trying to attach the battery to the wrong end of the pole! For me another tricky part of using this tree trimmer is learning how to operate the control trigger. To operate this tree trimmer you have to first double click the control trigger to open the blades. To make the cut you click the control trigger once more to close the blades. In addition to squeezing the control trigger at the right time and the right number of times, the safety button on the side of the handle must also be pressed in during all of these operations.Once you get the hang of the controls trimming small tree branches with this tree trimmer is a lot of fun! As a side note I want to mention how much I love the robotic startup noise that this tree trimmer makes when I first switch it on.I just noticed that the lower blade on my tree trimmer has a tiny triangular notch missing from it. I have not cut that many tree branches and thick weed stems. I wonder if the cutting blades will need replacing before very long?I rate this Cordless Electric Long Handle Tree Trimmer With 2 Batteries four stars.

This is a bit top heavy when extended, but I love the reach and how easy it is to prune trees

I usually don't read other reviews except when something seems off about a product, or I can't figure it out and I want to see if someone else noted the same thing. I did initially have some confusion with operating these shears. I expected that when I clicked trigger that it would start cutting immediately. That didn't happen. There is a double click process and a delay which I can only guess are safety features.I'm Gen-X... we played with giant, pointed lawn darts that we threw up in the air and then scattered from to avoid impalement, brain damage, or death... and that was a fun game. As an adult though, I sometimes forget that safety features are a good thing and that speed and ease of operation sometimes needs to be sacrificed for a greater chance of not maiming or killing yourself or others while using something. Another reviewer commented that they couldn't get this to work. I wonder though whether they had the same impatience that I had initially.I am part of the Vine program where we receive items for free in return for our unbiased reviews. I've done over a thousand reviews and can honestly say no one has ever told me what to say or asked me change a critical review, and I've written many critical ones when the product deserves it.Maybe the other reviewer did get a bad unit - it happens. But my own experience with these shears is that they are pretty good once you figure out the slightly more complex, but safety conscious way to operate them.I actually wanted this tool for the hand-held operation as most of my bush and tree-trimming is within my arm's reach, although I do have a couple of bushes starting to get to the height where the extension will come in handy. The shoulder sling and extra battery are appreciated. Once I figured out the right way to operate the shears, I find that the cutting power is very good. I used to use manual shears where I had to put all the strength into the cut. What a treat it is to be able to have the tool do all the work! I've had this only a short time so I can't comment on durability. The stars are for my opinion of the quality of the product. My one star off is for the confusing operation, but the attached listing video does help. When it comes to my opinion of value, I balance the quality, price, and usefulness of the product against competitive products. My opinion here is that the current $150 USD price is a bit on the high side. A quick search will find some more well known name brands at or below this price. You'd have to compare features to determine if one is better than the other for your needs. Some one battery options are significantly less expensive. If the price on this one comes down, it could be a very good value.
