I bought this for scoring ping pong. The redundant buttons are great -- usually it's easier & quicker to add points via the soft buttons on the front, but it's nice to have the more tactile buttons on top for clearing scores. The display is legible across the room, no problem there.

The cute little portable scoreboard fits right in your bag or pocket. It takes batteries, but they last forever. Easy to use. Good for several different games. Great gift or stocking stuffers.

When I first received this a little over 4 months ago. I thought it was pretty great. It was simple, easy to use and read the score. The battery life was outstanding, lasting for hours and hours. About 1 month ago it began randomly shutting off. The score would remain saved when turned back on but it shuts off so often that I would rather not even use it anymore. So the good only lasted for about 3 months, sadly. This is why I give it only 1 star. What good are all those positives if it stops functioning after just 3 months?

It works as advertised, but has no off button. It stays on until completely dead, and must be re-charged for every use. It is also small. A lot of money for a very basic unit.
