This is a beautiful, well made purchase that should last a lifetime with proper care. That being said, I used my Pyrex liquid measuring cup to measure the actual amount of food this dish can hold. I did not fill it to the very top, which is probably what the company did to get the 2.5 quart capacity listing. I will go back and get the multi piece set. I can say this will last for years because my Mother still has my Aunt's set and she has been gone for 44 years now. I hand wash mine and the glass lid is a perfect fit to the dish. It is a sturdy weight It looked smaller than I expected but the company probably measured across the rim, which is a little flared. It is as thick and durable as my Aunt's set so I think I can expect the same kind of durability.The lid knob has little ridges which makes for a more secure grip on the lid. It is a classic for a reason. The dish is a solid weight, Love this.

This is a replacement for my original casserole of 20 years, it finally had too many gray metal marks in it.. so I finally had to part with it..this new one so far seems to be as great as my old one. Looks nice, bakes nice & I also use in the microwave. I always wash it by hand( just what I do). So time will tell, but I do think it will hold up for a very long time if taken care of properly...highly recommend this casserole, also good for storing leftover soups and great for baked macaroni & cheese...

Great size for the larger servings when you want to bake or microwave something and then use it as a suitable serving dish on the table. No complaints or issues with fit, finish or suitability for its intended purposes.

Well packed; no damage.▪︎ Used Corningware for years. Easy to use & clean. Versatile. The 2.5qt is a nice size.Downside -○ One (of the 2) was perfect. Everything fit. Washed it; used it right away.○ The second one, wow! Some kind of Corning quality issue. The bottom, white, casserole part was out of round and the rim had high/low spots. The lid was in good shape but would not fit or sit flat, on the out of shape white bottom. If not careful, it could just slide right off. I returned this one.Summary -~ I still like and would recommend Corningware.~ I had no problems with the seller.~ Be sure to check your product, especially fit, upon arrival. Return if necessary.~ Otherwise, enjoy.

Always happy using Corning Ware French White dishes. They look pleasing on the table and cook evenly in the oven. I have several pieces, and each has served me well. My only problem is I have chipped a cover, but of course it still works fine.
