The first thing to note is these were packaged in a plastic bag with nothing to protect the tips of the bits. The largest bit protruded from the package, and the very tip broke/chipped off. But overall, these aren't bad. They drill into wood fine, and you can adjust the depth of the collar with the included allen wrench. If you drill to the angled sides, you're countersinking, and if you continue, counterboring. The drill bits are tapered so that the screw has more surface area to grip, because if you think about it, the very tip on a perfect cylinder wouldn't really have anything to grip. I'd give these another star if I didn't receive one with a chipped tip, they really should find a way to protect them better in shipping.

Broke a #4 bit, and was cheaper to buy a set then single #4 replacementAdjustable deep the same as the ones I have, easy to change

For $22 less a 5% Coupon at the time of my review, the set of 5 countersink adjustable depth tapered drill bits are a good value for the money. The tapered bits are sharp and the countersink collar head is easily adjustable on the drill bit's shaft. Tightening the two Allen screws on the collar with the included tool will secure the tapering portion in place.Although adequate for most woodworking applications, this set of countersink drill bits may not be of professional quality, but at this price point they are very usable. In 3/4 pine, the bit made quick work of going through the material. Going through Poplar with a larger bit, once again the bit drove nicely and provided a good and clean contersing hole for a plug.The disappointment is in the basic packaging, a pretty flimsy plastic bag with two staples. No further protection for the drill bits was provided. For $20+, you would expect that VALKYNOS could do better. A 25-cent blister pack would provide adequate protection and give me more confidence in the product.

I have been with them less than a month and they already broke. I won’t probably purchase this product again.
