This table tennis blade has two layers of carbon which greatly increase its speed, and 5 layers of specifically selected woods in order to increase its sweet spot and feel. Our testing team found very few weaknesses when testing this blade. Whether you like playing close to the net, blocking, or all out attacking, Phantom Light allows you to play your style of table tennis with impressive pace and spin.

SPIN MYSTIC RUBBER

Spin Mystic is made for players that want tremendous spin without surrendering speed or control. Players that love to play with backhand and forehand pushes will find that there is no place on the table this rubber and sponge combo cannot direct their ball. Spin Mystic brilliantly uses your opponent’s spin against them when blocking. Because of its porous sponge and rubber composition, Spin Mystic excels at Looping while still providing exceptional ball placement. Players will see remarkable spin and accuracy, not only in their rallies, but also in their service game.

BLADE STROKE PERFORMANCE

SPEED	While you will find slightly faster blades from CounterStrike, Phantom Light still packs a punch. Players who have confidence in their form will have absolutely no issue forcing their opponents to play defense. The Phantom Light is composed of 7 layers (5 Wood and 2 Carbon) specifically engineered to produce accelerated ball speed without forfeiting Touch, Control, or Consistency.
CONTROL	Rarely do we encourage lower level players to jump into using a carbon blade, but honestly, Phantom Light might be an exception. Our testing team noted that even though its speed places this carbon blade in the “Offensive” category, it is still incredibly intuitive to control. Typically, when developing blades, companies like our own tend to see offensive blades lose control as they increase in speed.
TOUCH	Like every carbon blade, its increased speed due to the carbon does decrease its touch capabilities. That being said, our research and development team found the perfect medium-soft wood to place over the carbon, thus increasing its touch drastically. We would recommend this blade to intermediate players or higher.
CONSISTENCY	The speed of your blade is useless if it is also inconsistent. Luckily Phantom Light is one of the most consistent blades we carry. Our research and development team took months to find the perfect combination of wood and carbon to ensure that every shot a player takes with this blade is identical to the last. There truly are very few weaknesses in consistency. Our testing team was able to replicate shot after shot, whether it was topspin, loops, blocks, or chops.

RUBBER STROKE PERFORMANCE

SERVE	Our testing team fell in love with the serving capabilities Spin Mystic brought to their games. Whether top, flat, under, or side spin, they had fantastic results with placement as well as ball rotation. This rubber really shines with short underspin serves. The porus sponge also allowed them to put some incredible pace on their serves when required.
TOPSPIN	Spin Mystic was specifically designed for players that want astonishing amounts of topspin. Though this rubber and sponge combination was created for ball rotation, our testers found that it can still generate high speed and accurate ball placement on topspin shots.
LOOPING	If you are a player that is confident in your looping ability, Spin Mystic will take your looping game to the next level. The complete confidence our testing team had in their loops was very noticeable. Even advanced angled loops consistently found the opponents side of the table.
PUSHING	Our testing team was most impressed with was the placement and control Spin Mystic brought to their pushing game. High spin focused rubbers can have the tendency to launch the ball off the table and lose control. The rubber sponge combo in Spin Mystic allowed our testing team to direct the ball in strategic locations accurately, while maintaining a great deal of underspin.
CHOP	Chopping with Spin Mystic might be difficult for Beginner to Intermediate players. It does have a bit of a learning curve if you do not know how to properly control and counter the spin of opposing players. Players that are Intermediate+ or higher will be able to return lethal amounts of underspin to their opponents with a properly executed chop.
BLOCK	Spin Mystic is perfect for using your opponents speed and spin against them. Because of the porous sponge composition, our testers found that, when angled correctly, typical defensive blocks quickly became offensive assets. In numerous cases our testing team found their blocks had the ability to shift the offensive/defensive dynamic of the point.
FLAT HIT	The Spin Mystic rubber and sponge combo was primarily developed to produce ample amounts of spin. Understandably, because of its composition, it does not excel at flat hits. Like all rubbers, our testing team did become familiar with the rubbers characteristics over time and were able to produce flat hits fairly consistently. That being said, this rubber would not be for players that primarily utilize flat hits in their game.
FLICK	Simply put, Spin Mystic can/should be used by players that deploy a great deal of backhand flicks. The rubber sponge combo allows the ball to sit on your blade for optimum table placement, spin, and power. Whether it is close to the net or behind the table, our testing team found Spin Mystic to be second to none when it came to offensive flicks.

The spin from this is stupid. My backhand kill got taken to new levels from the added top spin. Great intermediate paddle and rubbers.

I have owned this paddle a few months and initially loved. Compared to beginner paddles it is very "lively" and does add speed and spin as advertised. However the top layer of rubber has begun to delaminate from the bottom layer which when looking at it from an angle shows the surface to be uneven now, with one section pretty almost ready to start flapping off. Luckily this section is at the bottom middle where I hope I dont hit the ball much anyway. Also the initial sticky feeling has died completely. Yet it still hits well overall, so I remain somewhat OK with it.

What a difference this ping-pong paddle made to our rallying! We've been using our friends' old plastic ping-pong paddles, balls, and table to play. I tested this paddle, after using my friend's paddle and ball. This paddle gave that not-so-bouncy ball some bounce, when I hit it (see pic). This paddle seemed like it hit the ball with its soft thick padding yet made it zoom and bounce off the table. Loved the thicker grip of the handle and its overall performance. My more experienced husband says that this is good paddle for forehand smashing. And smash he did with it! I couldn't compete. My kids prefer this paddle over those plastic ones. We may now have gotten spoiled with this paddle.Greatly recommended.

This is a great paddle for speed and grip and ball spin. It is lightweight and easy to hold in your hand. We love playing with this paddle!
