I ordered this box and mat bundle husband after watching him set an alarm for 2;00am to do something with his bread dough. While we live in AZ the A/C is constantly running to keep the house comfortable. This allows for more consistent temps and sleep!

You can set room temp of 72 ish. My house is 67. It won't really warm. I have to set up 100 ish to warm my bread. It works great that way. But the thermostat and set temp are CLEARLY WRONG

Bought this so my sourdough starter would have a stable temperature and also found it useful for proofing and rising times too! The changes in how my starter was okay by doubling during a feeding to now overflowing is all due to this. Love having it and sent one to my daughter who has a/c on in southern Florida.

This mat is ideal for sourdough makers as it has room for your starter and your loaves of bread. You can set the temperature and leave it. Best investment I've made to eliminate trouble with my starter and dough temperatures.

As what seems to be the new thing now they proudly state designed in California. It is a cheaply made product which has a very strong chemical smell. The so cold warming box in this kit could not be made any cheaper. There are much better alternatives for the money..
