A bit smaller than I expected but love them! Good quality, love the gold trim and the artwork. Very happy with my purchase.

I have a hobby room with a table and various types of scrying. These include a Crystal Ball, Palmistry Hand, and Tarot Cards. I had Tarot Cards that had borders on the face of the card, but I switched to these. The antique look, lack of border and especially the gold edge convinced me to go with these instead of classic tarot Cards. They made my display look FAR better. I have the cards on display so I can't speak to the quality of the box they are enclosed in, though it appeared durable. With your purchase, you also get a little book about basic techniques on using the cards. Well Worth the cost from my point of view.

These are nice thick cards; "standard-wide" size. It's a struggle finding the Waite-Smith deck borderless for some reason, and this is one of the better ones I've found—assuming you like the patina. The colors are obviously subdued, but I greatly prefer this over some of the obnoxiously bright (practically like it was colored with highlighter) and poorly colored versions out there. I like the backing well enough, and even though the gold edges seems almost out of place with this style, I don't mind it. The box is sturdy but nothing special and the lid is loose rather than snug. The book is nicely made and better written than many, but it's a more modern flavor of messaging than what Waite actually wrote. There are two issues that caused me to drop a star though: (1) The small issue I have is that the patina is literally copy-paste identically on every card—this is extremely lazy, but they probably would have gotten away with it if it weren't for the dark splotch in the upper left corner (my mind went to Scooby Doo too). But the real problem with this deck (2) is that they tried too hard to be creative and they moved the titles up from the very bottom (where they belong); I get it, it would look nice if the art had been designed around the idea, but it's not. So, what happens is that you pointlessly reveal dead space and you obscure important and interesting details in the art. That's a really, really bad trade-off. For example, on the Empress you get extra lines of wheat that look like a barcode, but on Death you can't even tell the king is in the foreground or see the crown at all. On the aces you lose most of the foreground. Basically, it adds nothing to any cards, but it takes things away from quite a few cards.Overall, I still like it, they're nice cards, they're borderless, and I personally like the patina. However I recommend the Mary Hanson-Roberts version (requires cutting in my opinion) so that you can really see all the little details and have a companion deck that is way more vibrant and clean looking (see pics), but loses some of Smith's original lines in the process.

Great product….unfortunately the card box was damaged yet the box it was put in was not? Quality control lacking!

Absolutely beautiful pack! It arrived on time, with gilded edges, beautifully drawn pictures, a lovely patina, and thick, high-quality cards—everything you could want! While it is the most expensive pack I’ve found, none of the others captured exactly what I was looking for. This is the best! Will the edges peel? Perhaps, but all cards eventually do. Handle them carefully, and you could enjoy decades of use with these. Highly recommended. Blessings!

I like the cards, but the tarot card pouch is not given. That is a disappointment, else this is a good purchase. The cards need a harder solid box. This is one of the lousy box. The cards deserved to be treated better.
