Material is strong, I bought it for another application and just used the dimensions provided to make sure it worked.

I studied the photo and took a chance on it. This worked OK on my 2002 Grand Am 3.4L at less than 1/3 the price of the OEM Kent Moore tool designed to do the job. It was a little sloppy on the fit so I just used 2 bolts with washers screwed into the harmonic balancer puller holes to keep it on there nice and tight while I tightened the balancer bolt to spec. Worked out great.

Fit perfectly, made installing the crank pulley bolt a breeze!!! Fit my 2007 NC1 Miata perfectly, 2.0L MZR stock

Item works as intended. Used on a 2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. The metal where the 1/2" attaches deformed pretty quick.

If you are reading this review then you were like me, looking for a tool that would hold the crankshaft pulley during replacement on my 2014 Ford Fusion with 2.5L. I bought a bigger crankshaft holding tool that mentioned it was for the 2.5L but it didn't fit well with the a/c line in the way and I was looking for an alternative. This tool fit perfectly and it is a very heavy duty piece. Ironically, it is heavier duty than the tool designed for this engine. The stock picture does not do it justice. It not only fit between the frame with A/C line but it hooked into the harmonic balancer perfectly. No issue at all holding the pulley while torquing the crank bolt (74 ft. lbs and an additional 90 degrees).

It fits somewhat loose, but works. It held to a really hard bolt. I used a long metal bar and my 165 pounds to loosen the bolt. This tool didn’t break. That was a big win for me.
