This is just what I needed. The factory antenna kept on hitting the garage door. And soon there was going to be no more factory antenna as I didn't think it was going to last much longer. So I searched for a shorter one and this one seemed to be the best. And it was !!So far I've noticed no real reduction in reception, in both AM or FM, and now it clears my garage door. If you have XM radio or some other service, that antenna is usually in the base of your factory antenna, so reception is not affected there.The customer service of the company selling these is top notch. If you have a question of fit concern, they will answer all your questions and make it right.

I thought for sure I hit something with my new car, but it was the too long factory supplied antenna. My salesman said I needed the "Stubby" which is not as long. Works like a charm and does not hit the garage molding! So, ikf you are hearing a noise,this could be the problem: antenna hitting the frame of the garage door. Stubby solved the problem!

I had a carport that I custom self-converted into a garage. With the existing construction, the garage door is shorter than standard.My new-to-me beautiful like-new 2017 Buick Enclave stick-antenna was just 1" too long, but might as well been a foot. I suspected this might happen.....So, ENTER "THE STUBBY"!!I love this cute little antenna.Now I've got 2" clearance, instead of too long.EASY to install.Works Great.

I have only had the stubby antenna for one day. It was easy to replace. The product came with two screw sizes and fit perfectly in my 2014 Buick Enclave. Reception appears okay. I wasn't getting much for reception as the previous antenna broke off. I will need to use it a bit longer to know more. I appear to get my local stations without static, but haven't tried all. There is some static with stations I am not familiar with. I am able to back out of my garage without the antenna hitting. That is definitely a plus. I have a rack on the top of my car and this antenna is just slightly higher than the rack.

This antenna worked great for 3 years on my 2012 Buick Enclave, then broke off in a car wash. Reception was as expected as OEM antenna and provided more streamlined sizing to be able to put stuff on the roof racks without having to work around the antenna. I thought with this being one of the more expensive aftermarket products I wouldn’t have to worry about replacing it. I am going to try another version and see if that lasts longer than 3 years.
