This is a great beginner crochet book. I bought 2 each to give to friends. The book clearly explains the basics with photos, explains how to read patterns and charts. It also has a few cute patterns. I'm not a beginner and I found this book useful.

Great for beginner. Teaches different crochets and has pattern for each. Again teaches how to read patterns. This is one of my go to books.

The instructions are easy to follow. Sometimes I watch YouTube videos, but go back to this book because I can understand it better. However, I don't like some of the patterns. I would choose a different kind of scarf or hat to crochet. But, other than that its a good book to learn how to stitch.

I have purchased several beginning crochet books recently and this is the best one that I have found. The instructions and illustrations are very clear. It arrived in a timely manner and I find myself referring to it regular. To me, there doesn't seem to be anything complicated in it. It is just the basics and that's what I needed. Great price too.

This came brand new, but it seems like a reprint/dare I say, fake? The printing quality is a little worse than a copy I have from the library, and the real book has glossy paper and this is matte. The photos are grainy in comparison as well. The book has the same look, the same info on the copyright page, etc., but it’s definitely not the same as a real original copy I have in-hand.
