Set Up is very easy!
Set up is very easy with the Beetle Bits Glass Cutting System. Simply plug the modules into the Waffle Grid as shown below. If you are not using all of the modules, it is a good practice to leave them plugged in along one edge of the Waffle Grid. Close enough to be in reach, but out of the way.

The Flying Beetle Glass Cutter is designed for use with the Beetle Bit Glass Cutting System.
With this innovative accessory, the cutting head is always at a perfect 90 degree angle to the glass, producing an ideal score every time.
Simply press down on the button to engage the premium CGS-10 carbide cutting wheel with the glass, then glide the cutter effortlessly along the straight edge.
- Grids interconnect in such a way that you can flip one or more over in set-up so you could have smooth areas amid pocketed areas. This would give you an area to work on smaller pieces.
- The tops of each of the squares are rounded smooth so glass glides easy.
- See through material allows the use of a template to be placed underneath such as an angle guide. Also excellent light transmission for a light box.
- If you wish to store your grids, simply stack them and place in a drawer.
Introducing the Waffle Grid, an interconnecting grid which allows the user to configure the shape of their work table.
Through its unique design, you can configure around a corner, as a connecting back splash or even randomly turn up individual grids to have a smooth area amid a pocketed area.
Made of high impact Lexan, the surface of the 1/2-inch pockets is rounded smooth to allow your glass to glide.
Want to clean out debris from a section? Just lift it out... no need to disturb your whole work surface! Use the Waffle Grid under planting pots to contain overspill or drainage. Use in the refrigerator or kitchen cabinets underneath those leaky or sticky containers.

I have tried many ways of cutting narrow strips of glass for my stained glass projects, but none of them worked well. Then I got the Beetle Bits set and OH my GOSH what ease to create narrow strips, and to be able to replicate the strip to get multiple pieces the same size. GREAT PRODUCT and WELL worth the money!

This had made cutting geometric shapes and lines so much easier and quicker. I also love the waffle grids. They are great for catching glass shards. I would buy again!

Felt a little bit pricey while I was considering the purchase, but I really wanted a nice strip cutter for my stained glass projects.Its clever design and ease of use made it well worth the cost.Very happy with my purchase!

The cutter attachment really sucks. The tip doesn't score cleanly - it either scores too lightly or chips the glass along the score mark with picture frame glass. A good handheld glass cutter without this issue costs $20 so I'm unimpressed given how expensive this kit is.Otherwise the grid, the stops, the ruler, etc it's all great.

I was quite disappointed when this arrived to find that all of the 'bits' are actually plastic - these looked like enamelled metal in the photos. The cutter works but it moves along the guide rail plastic on plastic - there's no bearings to make this a smooth and solid action. The cutter sits over the guide pretty loosely with the whole carriage feeling unsteady and not very secure. The guide rail isn't long enough for larger pieces IE when working with half-sheets which is a real pain. I think the concept is very good, although it really does need further development to make this a quality tool - especially for the money it cost.
