A dull tool makes work much more difficult, so use a file to sharpen your axes and other garden tools. This file is amazing! I had a really bad nick on my axe head edge. This file easily knocked that nick down. I started with the rough side, than ended with finer side. I used this also to sharpen the edge of my shovel. Worked so well, I accidentally cut my finger on the shovel. So be careful afterwards. Be sure to buy and use a file card to clear away the metal filings in the file after you are done.Works just as expected. And would highly recommend.

I really love my file so much. Im a female mechanic so im always looking for strong, durable, and value for dollar. My coworker had one and borrowed his and immediately ordered 1 for me. It has come in handy so many times. I also like the length and width of it too. Thank you to the seller and thank you Amazon for selling a great product. I used to be in retail for over 30years. Works well. Puts a nice edge on even hardened steel axes. Course and fine sides are good to have in one tool.Deducting a star for what seems like unnecessary burrs and rough edged in the handle and along the edges. Wrapped the handle with some electrical tape to solve the problem, but there was a problem with the file out of the box that needed my attention unless I was going to put gloves on whenever I wanted to use it.Five star functionality.Three plus stars on attention to detail and fit and finish.

I have MANY files (there are so many varieties) but none ever worked as well as one my Dad has for sharpening mower blades and just moving metal quickly. This is the file I was missing - perfect! Excellent brand expect it to last my life!

I keep this one in my car, as I always have an axe to grind. No one wants to use a dull tool. This is a no frills tool, and I would highly recommend wearing gloves while sharpening your axe. It is a good size, and simple to use, a good value for the money.

Single cut medium and fine teeth. I use this primarily for eliminating the rounded spine on some of my Mora knives so that they can be used with a fire steel.Build quality is decent, medium side removes metal quickly, the fine side smoothes the cut nicely.It's a file, what more can I say?

Arrived on time and well packaged. Great axe and machete file. I like the fact that it's coarse on one side for quick removal of nicks and chips, and smooth on the other side to finish the blade edge. Used it this past weekend to put an edge on my splitting axe and my brush axe, works better than a bastard file for leaving a smoother edge. The only reason I gave four stars is because the edges of the unfinished handle cut into my hands as they are extremely sharp. Put a paracord handle on it and all is good now
