My intended use for these, was for my electrical assembly job. Turns out, they are fantastic for that, but I also own 2 more pair for personal use. They work great for 3D printing work, tinkering around the house, zip ties, and whatever my wife does with hers. She kept stealing mine so I bought her a pair.

I am very happy with my purchase. I make jewelry and even though the pliers have slight ridges on the inside they do not Mar badly. I use them just fine for what I need. The flush cutters are super sharp and they are super tiny to fit into tight spaces.

The two piece set, model S2KS5NN, of precision pliers and cutters by Crescent/Apex Tool and sold by Pattern Professional are made in Vietnam. The steel for these is not hard, as they can dull easily just cutting 22 or smaller gauge copper wire. I tried these for my circuit board repairs, and found that the pliers have some bend/flex to them and the cutters, while sharp out of the package, are not so sharp after a few dozen cuts. I know that these are only $17 for the set, but I had higher expectations from the Crescent brand.4 stars

I have two big toolboxes and the plier drawers are full. But these little guys are all of a sudden, my favorites. And I have bought several pairs for my buddies. Talk about brownie points! I even bought another for me so I can trim my nails which are hard as concrete. LOVE 'em!!
