I like the cartridge because it can be used on a card for so many occasions. I particularly like the many sayings that go with the images. I did a card for a person's birthday who loves to golf and hoped they would have a great birthday and coupled with and that you get a and used the phrase "a hole in one" and the person loved the card.

This cartridge has lots of great options! I love all the themes. I have both paper doll cartridges and still find that this provides even more options.

I love this cartridge! I have several others but have certainly used this one the most. I work in an elementary school and have made over 40 paper kids so far. Several grace my bulletin board right inside the front door. I made the paper kids with all kinds of different hair and skin colors and speech bubbles with "Welcome" in all the different languages spoken by children in our school. It's been a big hit! The included booklet gives ideas for colors of paper to use for each and I watched a YouTube video to get ideas on how to easily assemble. It definitely helps to have skinny tweezers and quick drying glue.

The Create a Friend cartridge is adorable BUT it does NOT contain an overlay. The purchase of a universal overlay is necessary. If you're using it with the CCR it shouldn't be a problem but otherwise you'll have to figure out the buttons to push from the small diagrams or buy an overlay. The packaging is completely different as the box is all of 4 x 4 inches and the instruction booklet the same. They've revamped the pictures/descriptions so it's a lot easy to tell what component the cut is going to make; which is really nice.If it weren't for the missing overlay I'd be thrilled with the new designs!

I was excited about getting the cartridge. To my dismay there was no overlay for the cricut keyboard. Just given directions to use a generic overlay. What is that?! 😳

The cartridge I received did not come with a manual that provided any instructions in regard to dial settings. The link to the manual provided in the book was a dead end. After several attempts and much wasted paper, I finally gave in and tried to call the company. I was totally frustrated because I was on hold for 17 minutes before being disconnected and then when I tried a second time I was on hold for 15 minutes before being disconnected. When I finally got through to a representative she did not give me much help, but did provide me with a link to a manual - while the link worked, the manual proved to be the exact one that came with the box. I felt that I had wasted my time. Future manuals need to include more complete information. This is my first bad experience with Cricut, but I am not going to purchase another cartridge without first being able to look at the manual.
