I bought this machine for cutting out designs on stencil vinyl to use as a blocker for copper etching. This little machine is quite the value and it has exceeded my expectations. The accuracy of the cutting is really excellent and the pressure exerted by the blade is just enough so that it only cuts through the material and doesn't even appear to touch the backing. I did find out rather quickly that although the design app is free if you want to get some of the better designs you either need to purchase them separately or get a paid subscription but at around $10 a month with your first month free you get a lot for your money and at a cost of $1.00 each to buy the premium designs should you not want the subscription it really is quite the bargain. The only real drawback is that nothing is controlled manually except for plugging it in and of course loading your project or loading the pen or knife. Everything is done through the app so if you have internet issues you are dead in the water. But for the price it is an excellent product. I would recommend buying one of the bundles if you are unsure just what you will be making or if you don't have materials for your specific project. I already had the vinyl and the transfer tape I needed and I purchased the machine only. It did come with a small cutting mat but I did need to purchase a longer mat as some of my designs could not be done with the smaller one. But other than that it was a go for me right out of the box. Installing the app and getting started were easy and the customer support is great. I give it a big thumbs up and highly recommend it if you want something that's really affordable and compact as long as your projects don't exceed the 4.5 Inch width of the feed. Or if you already have a machine for bigger projects and are looking for something for the small jobs that's compact and portable with a price tag to match.

Bought this as a gift for my crafty mother. She’s found so many reasons to use it, and has endless possibilities. It’s fairly small, so ensure you research it and its capabilities. You might wanna buy the bigger version depending on your needs.

I love the Cricut Joy...it's appropriately named as it brings me a lot of joy while I am scrapbooking! It's nice and compact, easy to bring with me when I am scrapbooking away from home. It's easy to use, once you figure it out. Makes page titles and Journaling boxes so easy.

I have a Maker but wanted the Joy for small projects where I needed a more portable machine. This works great. The power cord was faulty but Cricut replaced it after jumping through a few hoops (had to go through some testing and even had to submit a video of the faulty cable!)

Good machine to start off with but it's small which makes it more difficult to do larger projects. Its not fancy but it worked great for me.

I love this machine! I was considering replacing my older cricket with a newer cricket… They are so expensive! I bought this instead and have not regretted it for one second! I own a cricket from 10 years ago or so that has been fantastic… No complaints about it either… But this thing is so portable! And can do basically what my other cricket can do with a few exceptions… It is easy to use and my older mother-in-law has no problem using it either!

Funciona correctamente, y es fácil de utilizar, yo la usaré para viniles textiles para ropa, y de momento las pruebas que he hecho ha funcionado muy bien, incluso SIN usar el vinil de cricut.Lo único que necesitas es tener la aplicación de Cricut Design Space (Sea en teléfono o computadora) la cual es GRATIS, y es donde podrás realizar tus diseños con todo lo que tú quieras, sea con las imágenes GRATIS en la propia aplicación de Cricut, o con imágenes que TÚ descargas de internet (Pero ojo, utiliza imagenes de excelente calidad, y de preferencia, en formato PNG o JPEG/JPG, dependiendo tu necesidad)No tienes que pagar ninguna suscripción mensual ni nada, a menos que eso es lo que tú quierasPara quien tenga dudas, el producto viene con el mat/tabla de corte, el plumón, y algunos pedazos de vinil y cartulina para que experimentes, y obviamente, la máquina con su cargador.Dejo imagen de lo que de momento fui capaz de hacer, por que soy novato. (Ignoren que la prenda esté algo sucia, por favor jaja).
