I have a 1914 Gibson A-1 black top mandolin in its original case. The two clasps on the case were starting to fail, so I’ve been looking for a replacement case for several years. It’s not easy to find a good fit for some of these vintage mandos. This Crossrock is an excellent fit. The hardware is high quality and the case comes with two solid straps for carrying like a backpack.

I have been looking for a hard case for my Gold Tone Cripple Creek mini banjo for years. Finally I decided to try this mandolin case since the measurements seemed pretty close. Well it doesn't quite fit the mini CC. My solution was to trim the top of the banjo (see photo). Now it is a pretty good fit. The best part is since it's a mandolin case not a banjo case people don't throw rotten fruit at me anymore or turn me away at the door!

My kid loves this case. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there not a music slot for sheet music. Otherwise it's very well made. The color is true to picture. Has plenty of room inside. Even the inside is great color, plenty of padding. Sturdy.Definitely recommend.

I returned it for refund as it didn't fit but the case seemed sturdy and well padded.

Beautiful case! Love the inside and it has a great place for my necessities! Only problem is there is no dust cover! I just used the one from my old case! It was pink but it was still useful!
