Cannot get it to keep time. I have read book and have went clockwise with pendulum and then counter clockwise. Just is not going to keep time

I've wanted a Cuckoo Clock for many years and finally found this one. I love it! It was easy to assemble (instructions included were excellent). It has been easy to adjust to keep time perfectly. Would highly recommend to everyone that wants a Cuckoo Clock, but it must be an Adolf Herr!

This review is for the Adolph Herr cuckoo clock, model AH 372/1 8T. I bought this as a gift for my significant other, and overall, we are very pleased with it. It came very well packaged with simple, clear instructions. In fact, it took longer to unpack the clock that it did to mount it and get it running. The only problem is that it is a fairly long and tedious chore to adjust the pendulum to get the clock to run at just the right speed; however, this is to be expected with any pendulum-regulated mechanical clock. One especially nice feature is the thumb-screw and spring mechanism on the pendulum rod, which greatly facilitates precise adjustment. This feature should be emphatically advertised for all clocks that have it. In summary, this is a beautiful and reliable clock, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an attractive and affordable cuckoo clock.
