The original factory CUE screen design used a gel-based adhesive to bond the outer frame and the digitizer frame together.
The Cause:
Exposure to heat and sunlight causes this gel to harden and can no long properly transmit the touch signal from your finger to the system.

Fast shipping, product in perfect shape. The install video was informative and included tips that other youtube videos did not have. Watch it a few time until you understand. It's not a difficult job, just a lot of little disassembly. Keep track of your screws, put them in labeled ziplocks. Finished job in two hours, works perfectly, no hiccups.

Just got swapped old car for a new one. The screen started cracking after a snow storm 2 months after I got it. It was all down hill from there. It was definitely worth the time and money.I used tape to keep track of screws. (Pictures above)On the instructions video they forget to mention the defroster plug next to alarm (Knew it was there from vids I watched before I ordered Cue screen) Do not pull out after alarm plug make sure you pull defroster plus as well on left hand side. It's shown in vid but spoken about in video.If you have a wireless charger they mention it in video but say it's not shown in Cue screen video. The pic of cable is where the wireless charger disconnects. Or you can you use a T-15 tork with 10-12 inch extension to remove wireless charger forward a little so you can unplug that way. (Pictured above of how I disconnected wireless charger) not sure if all models connect the same way so those are the 2 ways it can be disconnected. You will have wire hanging from unit once removed if you have to do it the way I did.Also my unit did NOT have a light connector that you need to disconnect before you separate the hidden compartment from screen part of of unit. It just had the clear plastic light cover in between the hidden compartment and unit make sure when you put it back together the clear light shield doesn't fall off.It takes time but is not extremely difficult don't be afraid to use some force. It feels like you might break something just go slow and don't be afraid to just pull or push when you need to when taking trim off.No more spider cracks and touching different spots to try to get screen to do what I want it to do. Now it can sense every where I touch on screen.

2016 CTS4, screen had become unresponsive in the middle portion. Dealer quoted 700 for entire unit and 250 to install. Found Cuescreens on line, made purchase and completed install. Item packaged very well, link to website provided exceptional video instruction. Teardown of dash was 4 items; front mesh section, main dash, silver trim, lower plastic piece of storage bin. Removing the Cue unit was easy, few screws and unplug cables. Video was perfect in showing the Cue breakdown step by step ( once plastic sides are removed, you then are instructed to remove 5 screws. While my unit had 5, only 3 needed removing; as the other 2 were not mounted to the black plastic backing, but to the second layer). The black clip that holds the ribbon connector is definitely small and fragile- many warnings to do this carefully. Not a lot of pressure needed to lift this so be prepared to approach this one easily. Every screwhead lined up to the new screen perfectly. ( reminder to remove the backside static cover before you lay the screen on). Overall was very well made, and the installation video was great. ( I actually disassembled/swapped screens/reassembled right on my computer desk while pausing the video. Great product, fits like a glove, works fantastic.

This replacement screen is fantastic. As in the product description, the dealership would charge you $1500 to $2,000 to replace the whole cue unit (I received a quote in 2022.)Instead, 1.5 hours of careful work fixed my unresponsive screen.This is, in fact, the second time the vehicle has had the same issue. The previous owner of my 2014 ATS (co-worker) replaced the whole unit in 2017 under a GM warranty since the screen was cracked and stopped working. And I had an unresponsive screen right after five years since then. So this clearly shows that the OEM screen stops working within 3 to 5 years. So replacing the whole unit doesn't solve the issue essentially, and ultimately it is wasting time and money.Many Kudos to Cuescreen!!! You guys saved a lot of my money and time since this is supposed to be a permanent fix for this issue!!! (We’ll see how long this screen works)The installation was not too complicated, thanks to the YouTube videos Cuescreen created. I watched the video before I purchased the product, and I followed the instructions carefully while working on the replacement.It took just 10 min to remove the unit from the vehicle and about 1 hour and 20min to complete the rest of it. The most challenging part for me was the screen alignment. I broke one of the plastic pins at the bottom... Since there are many screws, I figured other pins and screws could align the screen, and I ignored the one broken pin. Luckily I was okay.The screen and the cue system work perfectly now, with a much more responsive screen. The screen seems durable, and the look of it is exactly the same as the stock screen.I work for a car OEM, but not a professional mechanic. If you are good at following instructions, only tools you need are tools coming with the kit, and a screwdriver and 7mm socket.Thank you Cuescreen, and I recommend this for everyone!!!

This was the REAL DEAL! I would rate the repair process moderate difficulty. Having the correct tools is essential. That said, the instructions provided with the unit as well as the online video were excellent. The entire process took about 6 hours and was worth every bit of effort. The dealer wanted over a $1,000. The unit fit precisely and has performed flawlessly. This is an awesome company. They not only offer an extremely price competitive replacement, they have corrected the issue that causes the original screen to fail. BRAVO!!! CUESCREEN

This Cuescreen replacement worked very well in my 2014 Cadillac SRX. My existing screen had the internal screen glue all cracked and it no longer worked properly. The installation was relatively involved and I got it replaced within a few hours. The new screen was a perfect fit and still works well three months later. The are plenty of videos online showing how to do the procedure. Excellent value!
