Over priced IMO but I didn’t want to throw out the otherwise functional base unit.

Second time I have replaced the blade. It tends to crack at the junction of the blade and the plastic. While it can still be used, cracks in the plastic could harbor food particles and therefore, bacteria. The motor on the cuisinart is great, so still does not seem worthwhile to replace the entire unit. It’s a die cast version and they don’t make them like this anymore.

The CH-4 chopper itself is terrific. I mainly use it for mixing pasta dough (CHOP) and balling it (GRIND) quickly. However, the CH-4B blade doesn't last. The plastic holding the original blade cracked so I replaced it with one of these. 2.5 years after that, the hex socket has stripped out. Now I'm ordering the third blade, and it's expensive, without really knowing if the CH-4 hex motor shaft has also stripped out.

I bought this 4 cup model blade, since Amazon's picture of the 2 cup model (DLC-2A) blade does not look like the original Cuisinart 2 cup blade I had.And I can verify that this blade works great with even the DLC-2A model.Very pleased with this replacement blade. It is a little taller than the original 2 cup blade I needed to replace, but that does not hinder performance (the top part of blade is still short enough not to touch the lid when locked).

I was trying to replace my blade that has cracked plastic on the bottom and the new one arrived cracked in the same area. Returning.

It is the correct blade for our Cuisinart.No it was not the one for the model we have.
