Well made. Heavy. The installation on my 2022 4 door JL was straightforward. The instructions say to lower the muffler but that wasn’t necessary. The instructions also said that the holes might need to be elongated but thankfully, that too was unnecessary. The wiring instructions were ok but more and better pictures would have helped. I found a video on YouTube that was helpful and I even managed to fish the single wire from the battery through the frame after putting the wire into 3/8†loom. The supplied butt connectors were adequate however, you might consider soldering and heat-shrink tubing. Some reviewers said that the wires were too short but I had no such issues. In fact, I cut about 18†off the battery wire.

I bought this for a 2020 Jeep Wrangler 4 door base model. I was a little nervous about it fitting but after watching the set up video from uhaul I felt confident. The actual hitch was super easy to install. No need to cut anything just snuggly install bolts. I personally didn’t have a ft lbs wrench to measure but I did crank the snot out of the bolts to ensure proper ft lbs on the bolts lol.I’m no mechanic and it only took 11 minutes and some change after getting all the tools together.The lighting was a different story. It took an hour and 15 minutes to install. I actually timed myself for this review. Follow the instructions from the uHaul guy on YouTube and you can’t go wrong.My only complaint is the power wire that goes to the battery isn’t loomed. To protect from heat and rubbing, but other than that it’s a pretty straight forward install.

We ordered this particular item because it said the wiring harness came with it and there’s no wiring harness at all. Unfortunately, due to a surgery we were just now able to use this and of course it’s outside the return window now so I guess we’ll be buying the harness. Open your boxes when you get them to double check everything is there.

This was super easy to install and it was a direct fit on my 2020 jeep wrangler. The hardest part was running the power wire to the battery.

The actual hitch receiver is super easy to install on the Jeep frame there are already 4 holes for the 4 bolts in this kit, the installation instructions say that you may have to drop the muffler for clearance but I had just barely enough space to avoid that. The wire harness is plug and play into the tail lights with the exception of the ground wire which I drilled a hole for and the battery power wire which you have to run from the rear all the way under the Jeep and up to the battery, if you don’t have much experience with wiring and crimp joints this could cause you some trouble but otherwise the biggest pain was running the wire and securing it along the way.
