The crimpers are flimsy and don’t really pull much tension. When you do get a good crimp the provided bands break.It helped with a temp repair of a cv boot but does not last.

The quality is ok. The toll is not good enough to crimp the clamps, had to pre-crimp so the toll could bite the clamp. Plenty is size for what you need. Performed well.

This is a review for CV Axle Boot Clamp Pliers UTV ATV CV Joint Axle Boot Clamp Pliers Tool Kit With CV Boot Band Pliers And 20pcs Crimp Bands-Ear For UTV ATV & Most Car.I ordered this tool as I discovered at my last oil change, I had 2 boots that had tears in them. Without this tool, I would either have to just use a split boot repair and just buy new joints. This showed up in my feed at the perfect time. Granted, this is going to require a bit more work than just slapping a split boot on it but I will have a better resolution to the issue without buying a ton to replace the whole joint.This tool is very easy to use but, depending on the quality of the clamp you may need to do a little pre crimping so it can get a hold of it. The crimp seemed very secure, and the tool felt comfortable in my hand. There aren’t too many situations that use this clamping method that you won’t be able to use this in. It’s a good kit and the pliers seem durable. I am not completely sold on their clamps though, so I bought a brand I am more confident in. I can’t say anything stood out to make me decide this, but I need a particular situation before I am willing to try something I am not completely comfortable with.

Tool worked as described. Did not use CV strap's that came with. I used the ones that came with the boots. The only thing for me is I had to turn the cut off Handel around. When using for the first time, the axel and boot were in the way.

This tool is junk! I shouldn’t have to use my other tools to put these tools together before use. I used the pliers on a clamp for inner tie rod boot. The tool bent and fell apart before the clamp was tight and secure. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
