CV joint clamp banding tool for ear-type hose clips found on a fuel hose, cooling system, and vacuum hoses.
Plier works on steering gear gaiters and fuel hoses on VAG, Opel, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and more.
EASY TO USE
Wrap free-end clamps 3/8-inch or 1/4-inch roll band and clip around boot, thread band through clip to tool nose and through winding mandrel slot.
Place 1/2-inch ratchet wrench on winding mandrel and turn until tension is applied, rotate tool over boot bending band back onto clip to apply tension and use cutter pliers.
To complete clamping, fold down remaining band tail band into clip and secure by tapping down clip ears clip.

Obviously these are not top quality tools made for a shop, but they are great for the home mechanic that needs to re-band a CV joint. The ear clap is a little finicky but if you take your time it works. The banding clamp also works after a little practice.

Pliers crimp unevenly, but sufficiently to lock band in place. Quality is reasonable for price but are not professional quality for extended use.

Worked and easy to use but the handle pulled off the 1st time I used it. Tried to glue it but it didn't hold. Either just be careful while using it or I try and get a better 1. Would have given 5 stars if the handle did not fall off.

Does not work correctly, before I can even attempt to squeeze handles the head slips off clamps. Poor design and very flimsy. BUYER BEWARE!
