This tool worked exactly as expected. I added some anti-seize to the threads to ensure smooth operation for future use.

Don’t buy the plyers, buy this. Much easier to use and frees up both hands.

Tool is great but the bolt that drives the jaws together is very soft. I replaced it with a socket head cap screw from the local hardware store and it worked great. Much better than the pliers. Hold the tool with a crescent wrench to keep it from twisting.

More than paid for itself the first time. Sneak it right in and tighten the clamp. It will go places the pliers only wash they could. I wish I had had this years ago.

Está hecho de un muy buen material, cumple su función. Por tanto facilita mucho el trabajo, más que las pinzas que son para lo mismo.

Needed this for my CV Boot replacement on my Toyota. Worked as described and looks factory, for a reasonable price.
Muy eficiente herramienta, me funcionó muy bien

2011 Toyota Sienna CV boots. I purchased the OEM CV boot kit with clamps.Pros: This tool tightened the clamps easily and correctly. I was surprised how little force was needed with a 13mm box end wrench on the tool bolt. The clamp crimp looks just like it was factory installed. I tightened the RH inner boot after I installed the axle onto the cross shaft so I wouldn’t have to deal with that nasty cross shaft bearing. There isn’t a lot of room but the tool fit in the space no problem. Tool is made of good quality material. No sign of fatigue or wear after eight clamps, and should last indefinitely for a DYIer.Cons: The two set screws that hold the jaws are loose and could be a problem with jaw alignment if they get too loose. I used thread locking fluid on both screws. On the jaw opposite the bolt, I tightened it completely against the stopper, because this jaw doesn’t need to move when clamping. On the other jaw I set the screw so the jaw would slide with very little play. Now both jaws stay aligned. The bolt threads and jaw sliding surfaces were dry, so I lubricated all moving parts. The bolt looks like any off-the-shelf bolt with an unfinished and rough end. I could see it digging into the jaw as the bolt was rotating which caused friction and damage to the jaw. I sanded down the end of the bolt so it is smooth, square, and flat and added some lube. Now the bolt rotates smoothly. Conclusion: The mods didn’t take long and are easy to perform. If the manufacturer had done these mods, it would have received five stars. After these small mods, the tool performed very well and I do recommend to any DYIer.
