I use this for polymer clay extrusions and was very impressed. Well made, durable and far easier to use than the “push†extruder I purchased from a craft store before. I wasn’t expecting this screw device to be so effortless after using the push extruder. It cleans up really easy too (the “push†extruder had clay backing up behind the push stem making it a pain to clean). I originally purchase two thinking I would need a second one to keep my white pure, but now I don’t see the need with how easy it cleans up. Glad I bought two as it will try the second one with my ceramic clay soon.

Easy to use, straight forward instructions. Hopefully this lasts longer than the other brand did, but only time will tell. Seems heavier than the other brands so that’s already a good thing.

The extruder I have used for years broke. I am closing out my baking business and retiring, and I knew this was a cheap one but figured it would last this one last project. Wrong. It took dozens of turns of the handle to produce an inch of what was supposed to be a string. It looked more like blurry pearls. I ended up making the strings by hand so I could form them into a basketball net, making this thing worse than nothing. Definitely return it.

Got this to use in my ceramics class with porcelain clay. It’s hard to use. Doesn’t come out clean at all. Maybe I’ll figure out a solution or maybe this is just something to be used with fondant.
